Smart move to capture the moment imo.

"This is what we've been working for since we made the transition to FBS," App State Director of Athletics Doug Gillin said. "This is a special opportunity to showcase our university, community and football program to a national audience."

Good for them. I remember when Gameday came to LSU for the first time in 2003 for LSU vs UGA, kind of put LSU on the map in a way

It's ok for this week, because the slate of games is terrible.

I know what you’re saying, but lsu UGA 2003 and Troy versus app state 2022 are not the same thing.

That wasn’t the first time Gameday was on LSU’s campus.

That wasn't the first time GameDay had been to LSU.

Indeed. Wish it was a little later in the year, the Fall colors would be a poppin.

One of our church's associate pastors is an App State grad. He was at the A&M game Saturday. He is absolutely giddy about GameDay coming to his alma mater.

Also they were almost undoubtedly going to Miami@Texas A&M before the upset. Talk about getting cucked

Maybe. Troy is supposed to be pretty good this year and compete legitimately for the SBC West.

App State is well coached, and Chase Brice (QB) looks like he’s gotten much better over the off-season.

Been a hell of a few weeks for that town

Week 1: UNC comes to your stadium and was a hell of a game, even if they fell short
Week 2: Upset #6 Texas A&M on the road, 15 years after upsetting #5 Michigan, parties in the streets
Week 3: Hosts college gameday for the first time in school history

Happy for them.
