Appalachian State is an absolutely beautiful campus. Incredible college experience.

Also they were almost undoubtedly going to Miami@Texas A&M before the upset. Talk about getting cucked
I was worried they weren't going to OSU/Wisky (I have something that morning so just happy it isn't a noon banger). Confirmed it is a night game although maybe Gameday isn't there anyway (they do that sometimes)

Great Little Mountain University in North Carolina with great snow ski resort in Boone, NC area. I was so proud of the whipping they put on the fAggies.

App State may make a NY6 bowl this season before it’s all said and done

Boone is beautiful I know not many here might care for it but it started it such a small town and that university has put it on the map and it's grown.
Best place in NC to go skiing and enjoy winter weather.
I encourage anyone to visit Boone over Asheville as I find it way better

He was at the A&M game Saturday. He is absolutely giddy about GameDay coming to his alma mater.
Yep. We have a few App St grads are they are pumped. Saturday in Boone is going to be a drunken debacle, in the best way

I was at that game. My ex-wife (definitely no pics) is a HS classmate of Kirk Herbstreit; the look on his face when she got his attention during a commercial break was priceless. Ended up getting to sit on set and taking pics with all the Gameday crew after the broadcast ended.
Her maid of honor was a nurse at the LSU student health center; she was dating (and later married) a guy who was a student trainer or manager on the football team. He was from LaPlace and got us tickets in the player family section. We definitely got some odd looks wearing our red and black in our seats that day.

WOW! Just gorgeous!
We are taking our vacation in SW VA and NW NC next month and where we are staying in NC is an hour and a half from Boone. We are taking the Blue Ridge Parkway on our way back and I definitely plan on getting off the parkway for a bit to see Boone and the ASU campus.
That picture of the ball field is pure porn.

Gameday should go to all levels of games just not FBS games. It will help reignite the interest

Only thing I could wish for on top of Gameday coming to Boone, would be if it was in October when the leaves are in peak.

They've gone to more than a handful of FCS games before.
