Went to a playoff game in early 1995 in Cleveland . Snow in the stands. Cold with a "brisk" win coming off Lake Erie.
It was an adventure in misery. Thermal underwear, flannel lined jeans and a shell on top of them. Two pairs of socks, lined duck boots....and still my arse was cold and got wet.

Went to a Titans game in Nashville last December in the sleeting rain. However I was well equipped so it really wasn’t that bad. Coldest I have ever been was LSU @ Arkansas 2012. I was not equipped and my feet went numb. It felt like we were in the shadow the whole game.

2000 Iron Bowl. First one in Tuscaloosa in like 100 years. Temps were just above freezing but it sleeted and rained the whole damn time and was absolutely miserable.
Even though my team won, it was miserable football as the final score was 9-0. I remember about halfway through the 3rd, I was shivering so hard I thought I was close to being hypothermia.

Minnesota Vikings at the old Met Stadium. Below zero off an 8" snow.

My coldest game was the 1/1/1968 Sugar Bowl when unranked LSU beat #7 Wyoming 20-13 in the old Tulane Stadium. It had snowed in New Orleans the day before and there was snow still piled up past the end zones. We had to scrape snow off our bleacher seats to sit and there was some snow still accumulated at our feet! The field was a sloppy mess. The Tigers were losing 13-0 at half time. We were drinking straight bourbon trying to warm up and to tolerate the miserable game play of the Tigers. Coach McClendon benched a lot of starters at the beginning of the 2nd half and the excitement of a comeback offense by the previously benched players along with our boubon shots kicking in made for an exciting and comfortable 2nd half win!!

Browns game against Carolina. 8 degrees for a high. Wind blowing off the lake (probably negative). Wore a snowmobile suit to the game and still left after 3 quarters.

Coldest game in Tiger Stadium was Troy State in 2008. I stayed until the end and saw the comeback.
Other coldest game was the Independence Bowl against N.D. as a young Tiger fan.

I would like to take this thread to remind people why we like night games in the South. It is not about tradition.
In September it is way too hot to day games.
In November it is way too cold at night for night games.
Modern schedulers take 0% of this into account.

2010 Montana state championship in Bozeman, Bozeman vs Helena High, my junior year.
Walked over to the stadium immediately after school ended and was out there for probably 6 hours. It was about 30 when the game started, then it began snowing and got windy. Idk what the temp was but it felt like single digits for most of the second half. There was 2-3 inches of snow on the field by the end of the game.
All worth it in the end, Bozeman won 28-7, first football championship since 1917. An epic night.

Cold, windy and rainy at about 35 degrees is worse than colder and snow. Even quite a bit colder and no snow.

LSU vs TX baseball game at the old box in late February. It was 32 degrees at first pitch and the north wind was a mo fo. Felt like it was being played in Amarillo in January.

The night of the 1995 Indy Bowl (LSU 45 Mich St 24) temperatures were in the 40's, but the wind was blowing like crazy. The wind was blowing directly into our faces in the end zone. Box score on the LSU site says it was 46 when they started at 4;34 PM.
it started raining and sleeting in the 2nd Half

I won tickets to a bears falcons game years ago and went….10 degrees with a 0 wind chill ). It was so cold our beers were freezing. There’s probably a packer game I went to that was at least that cold but don’t remember a specific one.

Same. It was at College Station maybe 4 years ago. The wind was blowing in and folks were scrambling for blankets.

Papa John's Bowl in Birmingham, Jan 2010
Not even a close second. Worst football experience I've ever had. 27 degrees at kickoff. Team played like crap, lost to UConn. Bowl ran out of pizza before the start of the game. The old man in front of me shivered so much when he stopped in the 3rd quarter I thought he had died. When the sun went behind the scoreboard in the 4th and seats were in the shadows, might as well have been sitting in the arctic circle. Miserable experience in every way.
