i'm sure the men's team is excited about the $2 they are about to make from the women's team after handing the women's team millions from the mens' efforts

I mean I give a shite. My daughter is a good little player and looks up to some of them because they’re the absolute peak of girls playing soccer. She doesn’t have the slightest clue about any of the extra curricular shite that rapinoe has pushed for years.

I’d love it if all the shite kinda died with her on the way out and the next group actually just kinda focused on being great soccer players again.

I'm fine whether they win or lose. Just like every other World Cup.

I think you genuinely don’t know the meaning of common English phrases like “don’t give a frick.”

The Rapinoe dude has destroyed that locker room.

I’m following about like I always do. If they make the finals I may watch and root for them, if not busy otherwise.

Letting politics influence the brands I buy and sports/teams I watch requires way too much mental energy.

You know its not mandatory a player plays for the national team. Had all the pro American players bandex together and turned them down when offered and said “I want to play soccer and not get into politics this I must decline due to the toxic nature of the team”. Maybe then changes would have been made.

But nope - every one of them took the almighty dollar over country and pride knowing full well what they got into. I can’t and won’t feel sorry for any of them.

The WC comes every 4 years. A player would be lucky to included on only 3 of them. So time really isnt on your side to do that. To play for your country is the highest honor and I am sure most of the womens players would agree with that. So, I understand why all the players said yes

If you are an outlier, I'm out here with you. It's hard to boycott some things, this is not. Haven't even mistakenly watched a second of it.

amazing that no one realizes this. Some folks on this board surely have daughters. Their daughter is never going to play in an MLB world series, an NFL superbowl, or the masters, but should their daughters be athletes and choose soccer then the World Cup is the pinnacle of what she could do in the sport.

So yeah, all 4 of those things are the same.

So you'd put the Professional Darts Championship, World Series of Poker and the World Cup of Baking up there?

Yeah, that's kinda the point...we've raised Title IX sports in the media to the equivalent of the highest level of sport in human endeavor.

...The pinnacle of socially engineered, government subsidized athletics is not in the same realm, galaxy, Universe of sport that is the height of human athletics.

....otherwise, there'd be no Women's World Cup...just a World Cup (which is gender-neutral btw, anyone can try out for the team.). But when you lose to average 14-year old boys on the pitch, I guess the Women's World Cup is the pinnacle...and equal to winning the Masters.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I posted.

You can associate with/follow/boycott whatever you want. The point was, I can make fun of the reasoning behind it.

In the future, read better to post better. Thx.

Won't say I am rooting against them, but I do pay even less attention than I have in previous years. There were years where I would actually seek out info about them and how they were doing. Then when Rapone (sp?) started her shite I would at least check scores and read an article here & there. Now, I only read the headlines that jump across my MSN that my IT company keeps resetting as my home page on Edge.
