What’s wrong with apologizing if Gottlieb got more information and determined he was incorrect? Why is that like a b?

Because Doug Gottlieb is a thief, someone who literally stole from his college teammates, and now makes up a lie and only retracts said lie when faced with a lawsuit

Where’s PatriotCrimsonTideYankeeManUnitedWarriors?
He assured me that that the only reason Freeman left was that the offer not being communicated is why he left

What does his college days have to do with the present?
You think he just made that up? Out of thin air? Gottlieb doesn't stay in sports radio for a decade plus just making shite up. He got bad info from a source and has corrected it.
People are so fricking dumb around here.

“Owning up to a mistake” after getting your arse involved in a lawsuit isn’t exactly angelic
It’s self preservation. Something people who steal from others are good at

Apologizing when you're wrong is not being a bitch.

If Casey close decided to stay quiet and not bring about his lawsuit, do you think St. Gottlieb would have “owned his mistake”?

The idea that a longtime high profile agent like Close who deals with every team and represents high profile clients would do this was always hilarious

Close told Gottlieb to retract his statement or that he would sue. Gottlieb thought he was bullshitting. Here we are. Gottlieb backtracks like a bitch once shite got real.
When the lawsuit was filed:

In a statement, Close said: “Although we gave Mr. Gottlieb an opportunity to retract his false statement, he failed to do so. The Complaint sets the record straight as to what occurred during the negotiations with the Atlanta Braves.” Gottlieb and his lawyer, John Tehranian, did not return messages from ESPN seeking comment.

quote:he has a history of poor integrity and shitty behavior. Sometimes folks grow out of it and learn, often times they do not. It’s on him to check his source and vet it and he didn’t. He only corrected it when staring down the barrel of a lawsuit, not out of some journalistic duty to set the record straight

If Freddie knew all the offers, why did he fire his agent a few weeks ago?
Posted on 9/7/22 at 12:44 pm to shel311
If he wasn’t a thief who didn’t steal, and he wasn’t asked by Casey Close privately to apologize before the lawsuit, I would possibly think he “was being a man and apologizing”
But instead, I think he is a low character human being simply practicing self preservation
