This is without a doubt a very rare occurrence and you are probably conflating this with people who just buy a Burrow bengals jersey because they like him. And further conflate that with people who voice support of Burrow.

That is why I said small group because I definitely know some people(not a lot) who have begun to travel to Cincy games at least once a year.

A lot like Louisiana fans who pull for the Astros.

how is that in any way alike?

Houston is/was for MANY the closest MLB city, vacation Astroworld, game in the Dome
Astros had a MiLB presence for a long time
Strong radio signal; plus affiliates

Until cable T V came along with T B S or W G N the Astros were the only team you could follow regularly

I find it possible to root for both the saints and bengals seeing as they hardly play each other due to them being on opposite sides of the league.

I think everyone is missing the main point of the post. I am talking about people who now travel to Bengals games decked on in gear.

There's a gentleman here in Donaldsonville who has taken this a step too far by pimping his ride in Bengals colors and swag. It seems such a ridiculous thing to do in tribute to a team situated so far away, filled with guys who've never heard of you.

Meh…. Wife and I are contemplating December Dallas-bengals game. Won’t be wearing gear for either team but I wouldn’t mind seeing burrow and chase in action again, live.

Coastal MS was a huge Greenbay stronghold when Favre played…couldn’t even find the Saints on and were an hour away from the Dome.
Once the playoffs started, I was a Steeler fan when Bradshaw was there. I hated the Cowboys and the Saints never made the playoffs in the 70's.

I see a small group of LSU fans who have full on ditched the Saints and become huge Bengal fans. I am talking traveling to Cincy for games and decked out in Bengals gear. What happens when Burrow retires?

People don't need a reason to become a fan of a team.

For them to have Burrow, that automatically makes most LSU fans big Bengals fans. They can also pull for the Saints.

Who is thinking about when he retires.

As a lifelong Battlehawks fan, I can’t imagine cheering for a team just because of a college qb.

I keep up on how Joe is doing. I am more of a college football fan then NFL. But the way the saints are playing now, I'll be watching them more. The saints , baring injuries are playoff bound as of right now. Very impressive on both sides of the ball.

I pull for the Bengals. I wouldn’t call myself a huge fan. I would really love for Burrow to get away from the Bengals. And fix that stupid hair.

I always liked the Bengals because of their helmets. They were my 3rd favorite team before they drafted Burrow (NO, Denver, Cincy). They moved up to number 2 when they drafted Burrow.

And it's probably the same people on here dogging the Auburn/Panther fans during the Cam years.

Those guys bailed on the Falcons to back the Camthers.

I suppose it is understandable to quit on Atlanta though.
