I could have made Nico's first agreement last forever.

Well, at my current age. To be fair at Nico's age I probably would have snorted 2M/year off strippers.

Never understood this criticism of Cam. Yeah, he's eccentric and dresses the part, but that mf'er has a whole gaggle of kids.

I don’t know about Cam’s spending habits, but I think I could go a pretty long way if I were given the money that Nico Iamaleava is seeking.

He's not wrong. In the beginning we all thought it was going to be EA sports, local sponsors, and the top players in the country would get some nation pub like Nike / Gatorade.

The contracts and collectives are wild.

That's how it was sold and marketed to build support. Who really thought it wouldn't turn into the Wild West? They paid people with secret bags and overstuffed envelopes for decades. Making it an above board practice was always intended to turn the money spigots on wide open.

Cam's right when you have 10 kids with different women like he does.

I'm glad people are starting to speak out against the wild west. We're seeing more and more coaches, admins, ex-players, media finally being vocal about what we all saw 3/4 years ago. I think within a couple of years we'll get some guardrails on all this. fingerscrossed.

Most people but at first most thought it would just be bags given out durining recruiting. NIL combined with the transfer portal is what put everything into overdrive. You can't restrict NIL the best option is deal with the transfer portal.

You didn't really fall for that did you?

NIL was an excuse to legally pay players because it was already so rampant in college football that it could no longer be governed properly.

Rockstars can get away with bizarre eclectic fashion. Mainly because people like say, Prince or Lenny Kravitz, were dressing like that since high school garage bands before they were ever introduced to the public. It's a life-long outward expression of their uniqueness.

Cam, on the other hand, just started this roughly about 5 years ago, ound 30 y/o. Comes across as try-hard/cosplay. Overnight, he goes from looking like Theodore Huxtable to a Whoopie Goldberg with dreads in a babushka & 10-gallon hat.

$8 million is not forever money?

Nico's original deal was $2 mil/year for 4 years. People are out of fricking touch.

My tax accountant (ChatGPT) says you net close to $5 million of that.
