Why is a speech that was made behind closed doors years ago suddenly now being made public?
This is an excerpt of a long form article detailing stories, comments etc from I think over 20 Bills current/former players, employees etc which they outline a laundry list of reasons it’s been so rocky lately / examples of him blaming others and refusing to blame himself or take responsibility , being awkward, and being very tight in late game situations. One of the people apparently predicted Dorsey would be the sacrificial lamb when things went sideways before the season
The point of the article is to outline why the Bills should fire McDermmot because it argues it’s rotting the team and blowing the teams Super Bowl window, this story is just an anecdote, the OP is the only one who is talking about firing him for those comments

He’s not a good coach, but this story is a nothingburger.

in his defense it was mostly execute really well

I mean, the USIC, Israelis, Saudis and Pentagon all worked pretty well together that day, no?

Because the Bills are 6-6

McDermott wouldn’t have dug deep for inspiration either.
Coaches that are feeling their seat getting hot tend to start reaching. When they start reaching for inspiration, they occasionally wade into controversial waters.

Goodness imagine getting offended by something like this from over 20 years ago

But I wouldn't use murderous terrorists as an example of teamwork.
Did they, or did they not exhibit elevated levels of team work and coordination?

It worked, because the world ain’t been right sense, but GTFO with the media actually giving a shite about what they should actually be caring about. This country hasn’t been right since 9/11, almost like it was gamed out before it happened. Disney/ESPN can get fricked, but lots of people that don’t agree with those companies have to lick nut sweat right off the sack just to watch a football game, and they will gladly pay for it, even though the people they are paying view them as the problem.

Either way true or not, it’s very confusing to young minds to explain that one later. Coach kinda should have known better.
Do I think he should get fire hell no.

Who knew our government had such advanced remote flying / drone technology way back in 2001?

When I first saw this I thought he was talking about the teamwork of the firefighters or the guys on United 93, not the fricking terrorists

He was talking about the terrorists. Not the heroes that stormed the cockpit and kept the plane from hitting the Pentagon.
Learn to read.

If this was present day, he could use the coordinated attacks by Hamas on Isreal and he would be celebrated many including a few members of Congress.

Scott Shafer, head coach at Syracuse before Babers, said some off the wall shite about the Taliban at a press conference not too long before he was fired. McDermott using 9/11 terrorists as an example of effective teamwork is pretty fricking stupid. In New York, of all places, I'm surprised there weren't immediate repercussions. To be this tone deaf is obviously not what you want from a leader. "Hey guys, those Hamas rapists sure did a bang up job on October 7th. Why don't we share our thoughts on how they worked together to succeed, and what we can do to emulate them. Muhammad, why don't you start us off."
