Most recently: Mondo Duplantis (pole vault & cross country. (Technicality, but still 2 sports)
What the hell? Mondo never competed in a single cross country meet.

Trey McClure @ Central. Starting QB, All State Pitcher & won 3 state titles in Baseball, and starting PG in basketball. State runner up one year in basketball also. Then went on to LSU and won a couple national championships in baseball.

My Uncle Karl Terrebonne: fball + baseball @ Lafayette High School
Was 1st team all state WR & in baseball. Played WR at La Tech. Enjoy some highlights (#34) with some great old school defense La Tech action mixed in
I watch that YouTube channel. I have another great athlete from around the same time. Keith Thibodaux from Opelousas. Baseball center fielder, pitcher and quarterback for La. Tech. Played for the Pirates and was going to be called up to the bigs. Failed a drug test and his life has gone to shite since. Shame.

the national record holder in the Javelin.
A record that stood until just a few years ago.

Ronald Curry was National Gatorade Player of the year in Football and Basketball. Played for North Carolina in both sports. Was a QB on the football team and then played wide receiver in the NFL.

Billy Cannon All State Football and Track
Wondered if I was going to have to give Cannon a mention.
He was either the fastest shot-putter or the strongest sprinter in the history of mankind.

Todd Kinchen was ridiculous. He led Dunham to a state title in baseball and basketball and he led them to the quarterfinals in football.
Trafton at the time, but yes. I played basketball against him in high school, and he was easily the quickest human I ever played against in any sport.

Reggie Robinson - Fair Park. He was arguably the best basketball player on that team, which also had Stromile Swift.

Rogers Hampton was the same. Won shot put, 100 yrd dash and long jump. Also at 5 feet 7 or 8 jumped center in basketball.

Josh Booty was the NATIONAL player of the year, in both football, and baseball.
If I'm reading this correctly, that is insane.

Ben Mcdonald was all state in baseball, basketball and football.

Exactly! Is there another human being who can make that claim? He was on a completely different level.

I'm just going to assume that Cecil Collins played at least one more sport than just football.

LeBron was an all state WR as a freshman.
Tom Glavine was drafted ahead of Brett Hull but wisely chose baseball instead.

Cannon had the type of speed in the 50's that had him right up there with Olympic caliber sprinters....he was special.

In the late 70's, I went to high school with a 6'2" 220 lb. guy named Bobby Braggs who ran a 9.3 100 yard dash, and was 3A all-state in hoops, Had tryouts with the Yankees and the Astros after we graduated hs. Was the best football player at Farmerville high , but didn't get to play in 1977, his senior year. Definitely the best natural athlete I ever played with.
I was 5'8" 165 lb. playing guard blocking for him.
