Not Louisiana, but Joe Mauer was USA Today High School player of the year in baseball and football (was also Gatorade POY) and was All-State in basketball. He had a scholarship offer/commitment to Florida State to play QB and then was the 1st overall pick in the MLB draft. Not sure I've ever seen something like that ever. Then obviously he’d go on to have a career that may put him in the HOF spending his entire career in his home state of Minnesota. What a life.

Randy Moss was player of the year in basketball his last 2 years in HS in WV and won the state title in the 100 and 200 as a sophomore. He was a parade all American in football and won back to back state titles.

Allen Iverson - was even better at football than basketball

He came from the same area as Michael Vick and I’ve heard college scouts say he was the best quarterback they had ever seen in high school.

I'll throw in Don Raymond for this discussion. He was the first black athlete at Hahnville High and lettered in 4 sports. All State in football and track but his biggest impact was on races getting along. I linked an article about him below, tragically killed in a car accident before graduating. The wreck was maybe 1/4 mile from where I lived; I was 8 at the time. My dad was the Asst. Principal at the time.

Ran into an older gentlemen from Thibodaux some years back at a travel volleyball tournament. He and I were talking and he asked where I was from, when I told him Hahnville he started to tell me about the best athlete he ever saw. He asked if I ever heard of the guy, Don Raymond. I know csb.

Don Raymond

Most recently: Mondo Duplantis (pole vault & cross country. (Technicality, but still 2 sports)

On the list for consideration:

Devrey Henderson-fball, bball, track @ Opelousas HS (I watched him win state in back to back to back to back to back races back in his senior year. Guy was lightning fast vs. the field that year).

Justin Vincent-fball, baseball, track @ Barbe.

Best all around athlete/natural at basically everything-
Trev Faulk: fball, bball, track (sprinter & also threw javelin + shot put).

Throwback entry-
My Uncle Karl Terrebonne: fball + baseball @ Lafayette High School
Was 1st team all state WR & in baseball. Played WR at La Tech. Enjoy some highlights (#34) with some great old school defense La Tech action mixed in:

Karl Terrebonne #34 - La Tech Highlights

On the YT Channel are many other great clips of Steve Ensminger, Billy Rickman, Charles White, Tank Landry, Coach Charlie Mac Era, Charles Alexander, etc.

Todd Kinchen was ridiculous. He led Dunham to a state title in baseball and basketball and he led them to the quarterfinals in football. He threw in a state title in tennis just for fun. His LSU/NFL big play legacy proves his athletic ridiculousness.

Keiland Williams - football/track

Not sure about awards/accolades (think they won state in bball his senior year) but Glen 'Big Baby' Davis has to be top 5 on the multi sport freak of nature lists.

Not even sure what classification U High was in at the time. 1A? Either way imagine lining up on defense and seeing some 6'6 350lb dude at RB

Brian West was a sandwich pick between the first and 2nd round. He threw 98 in high school. He also won a National Championship at LSU as DE.

Obvious homer mention, Slade Bolden was all state in football and baseball as a junior. Didn’t play his senior year, graduated at mid term.
