Have played Peninsula and Kiva a number of times. They are far and away the best two options in the Gulf Shores area. Both stay in very good condition. I personally prefer Peninsula for a handful of reasons…. 27 holes… feels more like a private club rather than a daily fee resort course…slightly better conditions than Kiva day in and day out. Splitting hairs though…both good options.
Gulf Shores Golf Club is a cheaper option and also a good design. It’s just never in condition in the same ballpark as kiva or peninsula. Still fun to play from time to time.

Lowest cut that I can remember seeing in a long time in a LA State Am or Mid Am. Combination of the course not playing as difficult but also having the winner qualify directly into the US Amateur is a big factor. That spot will continue to bring the best college golfers into the State Am Field.
Would be nice to see the state MidAm go back to the minimum age requirement of 25 and have that winner exempt into the US Mid-Am.

It’s more standard to have your club’s golf professional reach out to the private club you’re wanting to play to inquire. I’ve never seen it to where a member of a club reaches out to another club themselves to inquire of the possibilities of a reciprocal agreement.
Do y’all consider Metairie a better design than Squire Creek or CCL?
BREC is clearly poorly run. But, getting rid of City Park would be a terrible idea. It serves an excellent purpose.
It was a weak technical. Huge call with 57 seconds left in the game. Complete turning point in the game. I will say the coach had been warned earlier in the second half about being on the court. But, still a lame call.

Baton Rouge area will be well represented in the division 1 non-select semi finals. Zachary, Denham, & Central all advance.
Curtis up by 4 with 5 seconds left
Denham versus Central next week in Lake Charles.
Are the 3 young men skilled? I know they are TALL! Ha. Just curious as to if they are equally good.

Ruston has Ahmad Hudson, son of Antonio Hudson. He’s a very good player and only a sophomore.
Any results out there? Specifically looking for the results of the Ruston game.
St. Michael is well coached. Plays good defense. Puts a lot of pressure on teams too.
What did Scotlandville do? I haven’t heard of any thing with them this year?
Not questioning their skills on the court. They are good. And yes they put a ton of pressure on the opposing teams offense.

“Dr”…. Now that’s funny. These high school coaches should be worried more about developing young men to be productive members of society. If you think LIberty’s coach is doing that, i got news for you. The MOST undisciplined team I’ve seen this year. And that’s taking NOTHING away from their talent. They are the best team in the state.
Go watch Scotlandville play. I have no clue what their coaches name is….but I can tell you he instills discipline in his team and is tough on them. in turn, his team plays disciplined ball. From the outside looking in, it looks like he’s worried about developing these kids on and off the court.

Name me one good D1 college basketball team that acts and play like Liberty.
Couldn’t disagree more. Have watched them play. PG play is very good. Can get to the goal whenever he wants. Have good shooters. And have a good big. But, they are classless. Starts at the top with the coach. Got kicked out 2 years ago for fighting with Zachary. And they haven’t changed.
Liberty is good and has a good chance to repeat….but they are trash…..typical AAU BS. No discipline.
