I know most of you are invested in the resisting any call of racism as an issue and want to push back which I do get it has become a “boy who cried wolf” type of complaint but it’s either naive or willful ignorance to say the coaching hires are 100% merit the “best” candidate. We will see how it shakes out, but if guys like Ryans, Frazier and the Denver DC want jobs but get passed over will recycled coaches and unqualified clown like Jeff Saturday get jobs then I’m sorry qualified black coaches have a legit gripe.

The reason many problems can’t be solved is that the loudest voices want only all or nothing solutions.

What makes Jeff Saturday a clown? He may be unqualified, but clown seems strong.

Frazier's defense just looked like warmed up dog shite on national television. Couldn't get pressure against a shitty offensive lines backup linemen.

No he sucks.

He took no accountability during his 1-7 tenure.

He was saying that the way things were being done isn't the way he'd do things.

Okay so as a head coach, that's on you to make those changes. Dude is a salesman and he'll always have Irsay's ear.

The Colts deserve the worst if they allow that guy to be their head coach.

Jim Caldwell is the only coach with a legitimate case. He was winning in Detroit and they pulled the rug out from under him. Wilks benefited from being in a terrible division where every team actively tried to give games away. What would have been the excuse if Carolina hired a black coach instead?

It's almost better to not hire black coaches, because you are criticized or considered racist if you don't promote them or ever fire them

This is a legitimate double-egded sword of this entire movement. Teams NOW don't want to touch this with a 10-foot pole. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Lawsuits like this just hurt the other candidates.

What about the demographic makeup of the league? Wouldn't that be a better way of looking at it?

Probably, if more successful pro players actually wanted to go into coaching and put in the time working up the rungs. That hasn't been a huge issue, though.

Wasn't Reich sent packing in Indianapolis in the middle of the season. Wilks at least got a bunch of misfits and mediocre types to .500 on his watch

The NFL has obviously for years made it a point to bring more black coaches into the system.

Seems to me that a big reason there haven't been more black coaches in the pipeline is due to the lack of black coaches on college coaching staffs, which is ironic considering how schools have bent over backwards in the name of diversity in all other areas.

It's almost like where the bottom line is concerned they turn a blind eye. Not that I'm saying that I want university presidents and boards to meddle that way in coaching hires but it is hypocritical.

they were 7-10 in a dog shite division. He did fine but let’s not act like what he pulled off was a miracle or something.

What’s funny is if he had just kept his mouth shut he’d probably get someone to take a chance on him after being an assistant again for a bit.
