Not sure what this period flow is implying. Yes Brees throws a lot of screens but he's also at the top of deep ball passing stats year in and year out.

Am I the only one that remembers him being quite good in one of his two NFL seasons so far?

No he didn't, his numbers were crappy. RG III's were very good.

Irrelevant post, for all you know I could agree that the Saints do that often and Brees is a below average passer.

He threw a TON of screens, slants, quick outs, etc., his rookie year. Like an excessive amount. He had to make very few reads.

He throws on off the best deep balls in the NFL btw

That doesn't make the argument any more relevant. He wasn't serious anyways. You would have to be brain dead to think that Rg3 is even half as good of a passer as Brees.

At reading a D? Sure and he damn well should be considering how long he's been in the league.

But he sure as shite doesnt have the arm strength RG3 has.

The Redskins will rue the day they traded the farm for Griffin. The Rams are building a hell of a team with those picks..

No one ever said he was as good as Brees.

YOU said:

I'm not convinced as a passer yet though. He threw a TON of screens, slants, quick outs, etc., his rookie year. Like an excessive amount. He had to make very few reads.

RGIII was one of the top in ypa. If you're at or near the top of that list, you have a great chance of winning almost every game.

And, I think RGIII made great reads his rookie year (especially considering the offense they ran).

overrated might be more fair than bust at this point.

he had a good first year but teams hadnt caught onto the scheme they were running, plus he ended up hurt. the next year they tweak the scheme to avoid injury and they were not nearly as effective on offense.

i think there is also some credibility in the idea that he felt like "he's made it" and wont work as hard. the dude deflected every bit of criticism that was put on him last season. i seem to remember reports that the veterans on the team didnt like what they were seeing and hearing from RG3.

one more thing about RG3 that i never hear mentioned is this: the dude had Josh Gordon and Kendall Wright to throw to in college. both of them made shitty NFL QBs look pretty decent in a lot of games last year.

It will be interesting to see if he changes his style. He can't take the punishment.

It was implied with your joke reply.

Sure, I'll agree with that. But the reads he made were easy, basic stuff that worked better than it would in any other offense because of the run threat he posed.

I said in my original post I will give him the benefit of the doubt but I'm not ready to place him in the above average passer bracket. It simply isn't true.

I don't like the passive aggressive BS he was doing last year. Play ball. Let your play speak for itself.
