I think the long game might have them relocating. If San Antonio gets a new ballpark, that’s a nice triple A option.
I’m sure they will keep them in the Vegas area as that seems to be the new thing these days. I believe that park is pretty new as well

The name isn't changing.

The A's name is here to stay, according to Kaval.
"We've been around since 1901," he said. "Charter member of the American League, the Athletics. We've already been in three markets. We feel strongly that the A's are such a powerful brand, it's something we're going to continue with the Las Vegas A's."

Smart move. That green and yellow is pretty iconic too.

It's very new and nice. Sounds like the A's are going to play there at first.

The A's have pivoted to a new site for less public money.

The Oakland A’s and Bally’s Corp. have an agreement in place for the team to build a $1.5 billion stadium on a portion of the Tropicana Las Vegas site, a move expected to reduce the amount of public financing sought for the project to $395 million.
Sources with knowledge of the negotiations told The Nevada Independent on Tuesday that under the scope of the deal, Bally’s plans to demolish the Tropicana and allow the A’s to construct a 35,000-seat retractable roof stadium on 9 acres of the 34-acre site on Tropicana Avenue near the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip.

This is starting to feel like posturing.

Not really, the Raiders went through multiple sites. Pretty normal especially as this one appears to be a completed deal.

Good for them and bad news for their fans. This will be good for the game and the AL West.
