A roof isn't going to do too much to help the thinner air, but it would help with the desert climate for sure.

I don't know that 2,100' is enough to make a huge difference either, that's still well below Colorado.

The A's will go from second lowest stadium elevation to second highest.

Oakland may have a shitty government but using public dollars to pay for a private team’s stadium is a bad deal. Good for Oakland.

From what I've read about the minor league team, it's an issue.

I guess I originally, but unintentionally, connected the roof and the altitude. I asked about the roof because of the climate.

I commented on the altitude because of what I've read about the minor league team.

Lol I don't think any of this is good for Oakland.

Will there be slot machines in the ball park?

I had heard before going that there were slot machines in the Vegas airport, but I did not expect to see them in the gate waiting areas.

I stopped and played a few machines while I was waiting for my flight at least it gave me something to do while waiting.

Unlike the NOLA airport, that was dead when I left. I had a late flight and everything was closing up when I was getting ready to leave. So, I had few food options, and had to wait because my flight was delayed.

Yeah that’s my bad. Meant to say the Braves and O’s franchise has been apart of 3 cities.

I guess you can philosophically argue they moved from "non-existence" to Boston

I agree actually. Oakland would never see return on investment for this type of project. No Big 4 league would have Oakland in their top 10 list of expansion cities. Trying to pretend otherwise is more than they can afford

Are there any in Allegiant and T Mobile?

Oakland was one of the top 5 most profitable MLB franchises. Some speculate that their opening day payroll of 60 million dollars, the lowest in MLB, may have contributed.

Apparently the franchise has reached a deal to play at the Aviators ballpark while the new one is being constructed. A’s last season in Oakland could be upon us next year.

I like it. Aviators can go back downtown if need be, then move back to Summerlin. That's a nice AAA park.

I think the long game might have them relocating. If San Antonio gets a new ballpark, that’s a nice triple A option.

Good for the A's but the Golden Knights own Vegas. They're the hometown team. The rest are transplants

Oakland can get a minor league team when A's leave Oakland.

Lived here 2 different times. Late 70's and 2004 - present. Suffice to say that it was vastly different...and I didn't come here voting for the policies that made me leave Louisiana. Try another "gotcha" attempt.

$1 beer night was epic at Cashman. Like watching baseball game with boxing matches going on in the stands. Then you run the risk of getting shanked walking to the parking lot. Ah, the good old days.

Yeah, moving from the ultra seedy end of LV Boulevard to Summerlin was a slight upgrade. The Cashman Complex area is much better suited for the XFL crowd.
