That's not reality though. The vast majority of owners aren't going to pay 100% of the costs.

Fourth city for this franchise. Be curious if the nickname finally changes with this move. And they’ve had some shade of green and gold since the early 1960s when they were in KC. Switched from kelly green to a darker green in the early ‘80s.

If you know anything the government & leadership in Oakland, this is not surprising. It is downright embarrassing that they were voted into any positions of power. We are almost there to full Idiocracy.

You could say that for almost every major city in America at this point.

3rd most successful MLB franchise with 9 world series rings. I would think the nickname stays the name!

As a long time A’s fan going back to my youth visiting the Oakland coliseum with the Bash Brothers, cold late nights watching Dennis Eckersley shut the door on teams in the late 80’s/90’s this has been a LONG time coming. It will rejuvenate the Franchise! Great news for baseball and way past overdue!

I would love to see a team in Nashville at some point, but with a loyal fanbase not far from Vegas this is the perfect move for the A’s!

I believe this is the most by any current MLB franchise. I know the Braves and O’s moved 3 times.

Athletics has been the nickname since 1901. I would like to see them keep the name but I don’t know how it would gel in LV.

What is the attendance going to be like in Oakland for these last few years.

Vegas is coming up quick. I’m sure they’ll have an NBA team before long.

they stay there until the Vegas stadium is ready, it can probably make it. I would assume foot traffic would be greatly reduced.

Never underestimate how petty and stupid Oakland Govm't will be.

They will probably force out the A's before the new stadium is built snd then Mark Davis will rent out the Death Star to the A's for 2-3 yrs and they will have a 90s Metro Dome feel to the team for a while before moving into their new park in Vegas.

I'm sure Davis would love nothing more than screwing over Oakland one more time and pocketing a little extra $$ at the same time.
