Seriously though, you look at NFL QB and for every Peyton Manning or Jamies Winston (if he works out) who was a top HS recruit, the college All American you have a Rolthisberger who went to a small school, a Flacco who starts off at a bigger school but transfers, or a Brees or Rivers who got passed on by big time programs in their home state.

Bama (all college teams) needs its quarterbacks to win college games. What they do as pros mean jack shite.

Richard Todd was a solid starter in the NFL for several years.

Bama's RBs suck in the NFL

For the 2015 NFL season, Mark Ingram started more games than every former LSU running back combined.

Bart Starr (MVP x 2), Joe Namath (MVP), and Ken Stabler all won Superbowls and all played at Bama though.

Not a Bama fan by any means, but lets look at the defensive players that have put in the NFL alone compared to other teams.

Bama wins NCAA championships with defense. Why anyone would expect their QBs to perform well in the pros is beyond me.

I hate Bama. Hate. I don't want to see any success.

But...this is a really lame knock at them.

Well if we added total number of wins throughout history, Bama would be near the top.

AJ is starting the rest of the season, the Bengals are good. Then this weird stat will be over.

Dont see how this is hard to believe.. Alabama for the last 30 years has mastered the job of gathering quaterbacks that are breed for college football.

OM has Eli and UT has Peyton. UGA has Stafford. That's it. LSU has?????

Its not an anomaly though. There is a reason there arent any. Bama doesnt produce pro quality QBs. To say theat it is an anomaly is to brush aside any responsibility of the philosophy of Bama football.

Look Bama is a fricking shining program on a hill. But pro-quality QBs is definitely a weakness. And not some "hmm thats odd" anomaly.

Saying that it is, is saying "our strengths are our strengths and our weaknesses are just some bizarre happenstance that couldnt be helped." And that is a Bama as frick thing to say.

You're so ridiculous.

Brodie could've won a game and this stat doesn't exist.

Rodgers could've not got hurt or Jamarcus not be super overrated and LSU is in the same boat. So congrats on that.

I dont know why you are making this an LSU/Bama thing haha. Its like you decided to have a different conversation.

Also its insane for you to say "Hey, a 1st overall pick could have not won a game and we'd be talking about a different school too!"

my point isnt that Bama is shitty. Or even that their QBs are shitty. Its that they arent NFL caliber. And that its disingenuous for a Bama fan to act like the fact that they churn out John Parker Wilson and Greg McElroy isnt a fricking anomaly.

Also Brodie Croyle started 10 games in the NFL and threw 8 TDs. Thats less than a TD a game. It aint like he was unlucky haha.

Because an irrational LSU dislike of Bama is the only explanation for your unreasonable shite slinging

Again, NO ONE's are. Except for maybe one, once in a blue moon. You know that.

It's not at all. They are better quarterbacks than most other college quarterbacks. Literally every single school has multiple non-NFL caliber starting qb's in the last 8 years you could name. Every single one.

The anomaly is that we haven't had even one since '87.
