With the injury to Cincinnati Bengal QB Andy Dalton and backup AJ McCarron's rise to being a starter, Alabama fans may finally see something almost as rare as the Tide playing in an NCAA Tournament game.

A quarterback from Alabama could start and win an NFL game for the first time since 1987, as we noted previously.

Tide starting NFL QBs are 0-12 since Jeff Rutledge won a game for the New York Giants in 1987.

Was that first paragraph needed? Why go after the basketball team in a topic centered around football?

McElroy came in for a benched Sanchez and won a game in 2012. Technically doesn't count, but we did get to see our guy win a game. And Bama Qb's won the first THREE Super Bowls. And we had an RB win NFL MVP ten years ago. And we broke Miami's record for most first round draft picks.

Like I said, just an anomaly.

Literally no one consistently produces NFL quality QB's.

OM has Eli and UT has Peyton. UGA has Stafford. That's it. LSU has?????

I'm pretty sure Miami or USC still hold it

It is odd.

Alabama State- Tavaris Jackson has more QB wins since 87.

Memphis has had one QB drafted ever.

He played in two games for Jacksonville in the late 1990s (started one, won one), so frick off, Alabama.

Rec will petition the NFL, who after review decide they passed the "eye test", invalidate the score and award them 12 wins.

Bama's RBs suck in the NFL
Bama's QBs suck in the NFL

Saban must be the GOAT if he can coach these scrubs to championships

Or he doesn't prepare them very well for the pros.

Ingram isn't effective?

Lacy has been up and down and fat this season, but he's still a good RB. He's not gonna hit 1K this season but I could see him with about 900 yards.

Bart Starr, Joe Namath and Kenny Stabler say hi.
All 3 are super bowl champs, 2 are HOF'ers and Stabler will probably be in the HOF next year.
