Normal TD trolling aside, it really is absolutely insane what he's been able to accomplish at Alabama. There will never be another run even close to this again in college football.

Agreed it's been rather frustrating

This year's Alabama team has no business being NCs. But yet Saban has them 12-1 and the #1 seed going into the playoffs somehow.
Say what you want, Saban finds a way to get the most out of his teams every damn year. Even as a rival fan you just can't help but admire what he's done, because we've never seen it before, and when he's gone I don't think we'll see a run like this again. Admire it while you can.

None of those previous stats matter.
It was a different animal back then.
You lost a game, you were out.
Now you get to replay games, playoffs, etc. It was much more difficult to win a MNC pre-2010.
Tell me how many undefeated seasons does Bama have with those MNCs? Because most in history were undefeated.
Dilutes the accomplishment and lowers the stature if you understand history and the role ESPN has played. Its far easier for Bama to win today.
Shite they used to say in the 2000s, if we had a playoff USC would win every year...because they were always demolishing opponents at the end of the year...but they would stub their toe by a few points on the road and that was it back then.

What's even more remarkable is doing it across two different championship formats.
Florida is the only other school to do it over two different formats (1 poll specific and 2 BCS).
With Saban/Alabama, it would be 3 BCS (2009, 2011, 2012) and 4 Playoff (2015, 2017, 2020, 2021).
Saban and Alabama would be the ONLY school to win back to back BCS OR back to back CFP titles. (they'd do both)

LSU has won in BCS and CFP eras. Unless I am misunderstanding what you said.

Can't even begin to describe how dumb and wrong this take is.
In fact since you brought it up, Bama, LSU, and Ohio St are the only ones to win at least one across all three formats. Florida is not even in that conversation.

Not really in ‘96. Got drilled by Arizona State and lost the Big 12 to a mediocre Texas team.
It should also be noted that Nebraska won its ‘94 and ‘97 championships without having to play undefeated Penn State and Michigan.

You can’t really play this hypothetical game.
They used to give out NCs at the conclusion of the regular season (even then Bama has 5 undefeated ones). There were so many split titles that 2 or 3 teams may win the title.
Even when they started awarded it after the bowl games, they didn’t always have a 1 vs 2 matchup. So for example if that happened in 2016, Bama wouldn’t necessarily play no.2 Clemson. Maybe they play some other lower ranked team, win, and are awarded the NC after an undefeated season.
Or if you are trying to argue the playoffs are more beneficial to Bama compared to the BCS, you’re mistaken. The only year Bama wasn’t top 2 was 2017. But in 2014, OSU won as no.4. In a BCS situation Bama would’ve played undefeated FSU (the one that lost to Oregon by 39) for the BSC title game.

What you just said was so weird, irrelevant, and wrong, I'm almost tempted to assume you're just trolling and not a retard.

Auburn scored on that drive.

This is a testament to the process that relentless attention to detail that they pull out so many games, they could/ should be 9-3 maybe even 7-5. and it’s not just this year (08 12 and 14 LSU 17 MSU) It’s truly remarkable but it’s also sucked a lot the fun out of college football.

I hate Bama more than anything on this earth but I have to admit that is a damn impressive accomplishment.
