A lot more offers for 2028 versus 2027 as well.

If it's this terrible next year I'll be panicking with the rest of you, but until that happens I think this class is just the reality of modern recruiting.

Absolute truth.
Do those of you that love to rag on Saban’s time in Miami, and his eventual exit, completely forget he spent a decade in the NFL before that stint? Do you honestly believe he just had no clue how things worked in the NFL?

bullshite. The adults changed.

Bingo. Greed. NIL could have existed 25 years ago in a better format. The game as it was could have been preserved.

Throw all the changes together at once, on top of the greed, and it’s just chaos for the hardcore fan. I’m sure casual fans enjoy it.
I care about my team still. And really just because it’s my Alma mater. But I don’t care for college football as a whole like I once did. Mostly due to realignment but portal is right behind it. I don’t like NIL but I understand it considering all the money in college athletics.

So why stay in the racist south when you can go somewhere else and get a better edumacation?

And there it is.
Four of their thirteen commits are from in-state.
First of all did freeze ever win more than 6 games in any season at Auburn? Regardless of how the 2025 season ended for DeBoer he made the CFP and won 11 games. This is an absurd comparison.

Unless you’ve got a billionaire bankrolling your roster, no one is signing top five classes every year anymore. Especially if the goal is to keep a roster together. Now, if they can’t follow up with an elite class in 2028, when the roster spots open up, I’ll start to worry.
Oh yes. Those are completely the same situations.
Do y’all just pretend that DeBoer hasn’t signed three consecutive top five classes prior to this cycle? That maybe, possibly, the goal is now to keep that roster intact?
Caldwell next Saturday and we are likely waiting for a minute to fill out the handful of additional spots for this cycle.
Arab, Alabama OL Stafford Willis commits to Alabama.

It opens for a coaching change. Once a hire is made it opens five days later and remains open for fifteen days.

That’s all well and good but looks like Michigan is promoting from within.
How did they sign top five classes in 2024, 2025, and 2026?
That was always inevitable. Now throw in all the changes. It is what it is. Won’t stop me from having an interest though.

It wasn’t long ago that all Bama fans wanted to talk about in the offseason was recruiting, specifically their class ranking.

Now they want us to think discussing Bama’s recruiting class ranking is boring.

But there’s some version of this thread every year. And that goes back into the Saban era as well. And it routinely proves to be proven wrong.
I don’t think you can use that logic with QB.

Maybe take a look at what’s on the roster. Who has been signed in the last two classes before calling them “lower rated kids”.

Fun Fact #1: 2 of those 6 Bama teams finished the season with 10 wins

Fun Fact #2: AU has a total of 8 Iron Bowl victories over Bama teams with double-digit winning seasons

Fun Fact #3: Bama is 1-13 against AU teams with 10 or more wins, and 4-23 against AU teams with 9 or more wins

Another Fun Fact: Auburn hasn’t had back to back 10 win seasons since the 1980s.

So Auburn has had far more opportunities to face a 10 win Alabama than vice versa.
If you’re wanting to retain the young roster why would you keep adding higher quality talent that will also demand a bigger price tag? You can’t have both.
