Im a guy who fell in love with the sport of tennis later in life.. ive watched golf's popularity skyrocket.. and now freaking pickleball

How good of a coach is papa Shelton? He has molded this kid from Denis Shapovalov into a person who can play insane defense and doesn't spray the ball nearly as much anymore.

Very good. He’s the brother of my high school doubles partner. He was a prodigy growing up and has been the head coach of both Georgia Tech and Florida. He retired from Florida to coach Ben. I’ve never met Ben but he comes from a very good family.

Haven’t read much of the thread but several years ago, the poster who used to play tennis at LSU (can’t remember his name but people looked up his name and it checked out), said Shelton’s dad was a great coach and was also very complimentary of Shelton’s game and personality.
Also seemed to like Tiafoe. Wasn’t nearly as complimentary of one of the other US stars but wouldn’t name him. Always thought it might be Fritz
