2019 LHSAA Baseball Previews

Just kicking off the new year and wanting to hear what others are seeing out there. How is your districts doing this early part of the year?

Actually, very knowledgeable on the game. Unlike you, I rather not comment on every topic or post in TD.

Ponchatoula has returned Athletic Field back to it's 2003-2007 glory.

4th game in 24 hours, looks like WM ran out of pitching. Or maybe HC is really good. I didn’t get to see the game. I know WM went 4-0 week 1 against Barbe, Some Texas team, Tioga, and Teurlings Catholic. WM beat Curtis and Central while losing to Zachary and Holy Cross this weekend.
These early season tournaments are good for starting the year, but they make it tough to really gauge all the teams truly. You never know who used what pitcher in which game, especially when the playoffs basically comes down to an ace or second starter.
As far as a preview for the year I know WM has 2 LSU guys-senior and freshman, a ULL Guy-senior, and a Tech Guy-senior. 6-2 so far on the year and will be in the BR region this coming weekend for another 4 game tourney.
ETA: Sorry Chalmetteowl. Just saw the score and 16-2 is a whooping. Doesn’t matter circumstances when it’s that bad. Good job by HC.

Not so much Sulphur..Sam Houston will be stout along with Barbe. Can’t wait for those two matchups.

Anyone know about New Iberia? They got a “transfer” named Chipper Menard. He is one of the best arms in the state. I think he came from DeRidder?
