Because they are a lottery team with the pieces already in place to start competing down the road. The part he would avoid by leaving Dallas.
Wiggins and Lavine would be hitting year 3, which is when guys really start to figure it out. Towns in year 2.
They already have Rubio and Dieng too.
They are probably gonna be one of those teams next year that hangs around in a ton of games, but struggles to get over the hump.
