I don't really recall extensions used very often outside of players coming off of their first contract.

Naturally, the jazz are having a quietly good offseason. They have had 2 premier international players sign on along with retaining what they already got, which was the best defense in the 2nd half of the NBA Season. And Quin Snyder is the man.
I got them making the playoffs next season.

Utah, Phoenix, and Dallas will fight it out for the 8th spot, IMO.

The Nets quietly had a really good offseason. They got rid of a ton of payroll and should be under the tax line. They resigned two major free agents in Lopez and Young. Plus they have Johnson as major trade bait, as a huge expiring. The team isn't as doom and gloom as a lot of people projected. They made the playoffs last season and should be right there again for the 7 or 8 seed. They don't have much in the way of future selections. But the team has a ton of youth, that might have some upside. So they have the ammo to make more moves. It's definitely not the worst situation in the league (Philly)..

It's good to be the GM/Coach's son

I wonder if Ballmer is going to make Austin his pool boy or something, he's definitely not worth 3m on the court.

Austin had a couple of very good games in the playoffs.
Glad he's no longer a Pel.

@daldridgetnt Source indicates OKC will, as expected, match the 4-year, $70M offer sheet today for big man Enes Kanter, given Thursday by Portland.

Love adding Thornton. Great value. He should be able to provide a scoring threat from the back court that frankly doesn't exist when Harden goes to the bench.

Shot 38% from 3 the last 2 seasons. He's a great fit.
Posted on 7/12/15 at 1:54 pm to PortCityTiger24
Actually 35.5% from 3, but I still think he's a good fit.
