It is about money ultimately, OT makes a lot more money and gets drafted much higher than IOL guys. It’s also a prestige thing, LTs are like the lead guitarists while the guards are the bassists: you can’t play rock music without both, but LTs get more girls haha.

I totally get that, and you’re right when you’re draft eligible. But all of them should be willing to play inside until their Junior or Senior year. There’s tackles taken in the 1st round every year who played guard as well. The versatility is a plus.
I was told everyone only cared about money.

You’re getting paid the same whether you’re guard or tackle and you have another year or 2 to play tackle if that’s your nfl goal.

I’m just messing with you man. I remember you’re new to the board. Pretty much everything I say on here is me goofing around. I just wanted to make a Saw joke

Didn't Tubberville undermine the military and national security by blocking appointments for a year?...

Yes because military members were taking paid leave to get abortions or some such nonsense. It was the weirdest dig your heels in thing that accomplished absolutely nothing.

He was very hot and cold I admit.

I think he played good D. Had some moments. Definitely looked messy at times.

I’ve been his biggest fanboy but I admit it was mercurial. Hope he keeps getting a shot and works his way in.
Which is kind of crazy considering they increased scholarship limits. Just lets you know how many extra years they’ve been giving out.
Will be interesting to see where Georgia Tech falls in the realignment carousel. I think the ACC will be picked apart.
When the inevitable 50 team power conference happens I wonder if they make the cut.
I was replying to the content of the post, not you. Sorry, didn’t mean for it to come across like I was going at you at all. I know you were just giving information.
Won a national championship that year, made another the next year. Made the playoffs 2 of the last 3 years. But yeah that was totally the downfall of the program.

You don’t normally post like a moron (though politics does make many lose their mind),

Many here would disagree, but I appreciate you

Specific to Tubberville, my issues

1. Admittedly, this one is more personal in nature. My dad is retired disabled military. Tubberville has done a lot of grandstanding and feet dragging and politicized military healthcare and medicine(and broader military issues). He proses it as “stopping veterans and taxpayers from being defrauded” but what that actually means is denying claims or claims taking a ridiculously long time to be approved. He championed getting rid of VA “bloating” but it’s made getting healthcare for veterans much more difficult. 1st hand experience.

2. It was mentioned how he “helped secure SpaceCOM”. SpaceCOM should’ve always been in Alabama. He didn’t do us any favors for its initial placement.

3. General embarrassing statements and dog whistling that further divide people in our state and country.

4. Opposition to desperately needed infrastructure for the state. Only cares about himself and his cronies.

5. Speaks incessantly about corruption in Washington while violating the Stock Act multiple times and very likely not living the the state he represents. At least when he was involved with a hedge fund he wasnt representing the state while defrauding us.

Most of the responses will be whataboutism. I’m focused on Tubberville and our state. Alabama can do better and the Republican Party can do better.

People can do their own research and vote how they see fit.

Tubs has went off the deep end. If you had a chance to listen to him before he went retard he had some very traditional conservative views.

And that’s all I was saying. I’m acutely aware we’re in a Red State and I have faith that conservatives in this state can find someone more capable than Tommy Tubberville. Roll Tide Willie is free I hear.

Don’t you think it’s weird that you and your cronies pay attention to my post enough to assume my political positions? I couldn’t pick any of you out of a mouth breathing line up.

Get off my dick and just skip my post if you don’t like it.
