Miami Heat should be pretty good next year if bosh is healthy.

Dragic, wade, deng, bosh, whiteside is a legit starting 5.

Gerald Green, chalmers, amare, bird man, and mcroberts coming off the bench is pretty stout to

Would not be surprised if they are a top 3 seed

It is so crazy. They basically fired Avery Johnson back in the day for butting heads with DWill, now they are paying DWIll $30m to leave because Lionel doesn't like him.

Avery didnt need Deron to get himself shitcanned.

Dude has an ego the size of the sun coupled with an unhealthy dose of paranoia. He wears out his welcome in Bama w/in 3 years.

Sloan retired because he was sick of Deron's shite.

Another brilliant move by the Mavs.

And Boston still gets what, 2, 3 more 1st round picks from the Garnett-Pierce trade? I didn't see where those were lottery protected or anything.

I went back and watched a bunch of clips about Avery's firing and about a week before it Deron blamed him not being an All-star anymore because of what he was running.

Lionel is beloved by a lot of the players here in Memphis, but apparently him and DWill almost came to blows earlier this year

Deron is best suited to be a pick and roll PG while Avery runs an ISO heavy system so the complaint isn't exactly unfounded.

Except that like 3 coaches later he still hasn't gotten back to that level.

he's openly admitted he made a mistake letting his relationship w/Sloan go south.

Its not like he drove off Kidd or PJ Carlesimo and he played decently enough under both of them.

He shot poorly overall last year overall but still hit 36% from 3.

I doubt he's going to be a problem in Dallas b/c he know this will be it if he fricks up.

Not expecting him to be an all star but a guy that hits 36-38% from downtown and 43%ish overall should be possible if he remains healthy.

The discussion used to be was DWill or CP3 the best PG in league. There is a pretty significant drop off from that to "he played decently enough."

Hence the team deciding to run off a coach he didn't like years ago vs. them paying him $30m to just go away

I can appreciate how optimistic you seem to be about the Mavs moves

Good move by the Mavs either way. They are only paying him 5 mill a year. If he sucks. He sits on the bench. If he turns out being above average then its a huge deal.

Low risk, high reward.

They are buying him out for the same reason they are trying to move Joe Johnson.

They want to avoid getting tagged w/the repeat offender tax rate in the luxury tax.

If Prokhorov wasn't trying to sell the team it might be different but he is so they no longer will sling money around like a drunken sailor on shore leave.
