I do own about 50 shares of Mara @ 14. Thought i was smart and would make a quick buck with a quick bitcoin bounce. Just add that to my current list of bags. Looking like that 3k tax loss should be no problem this year

I don’t know that I’d use the word “cheap”, as it’s sitting on a 52 PE. But at least it does have positive earnings. I got some shares put to me back in April - thankfully the smallest option positions I’ve traded on RIOT. Those are still well underwater - though I sold enough calls and puts on the ticker over the past year that I’m still break even to mildly positive on it. Looking at my trade sheet, looks like I had more frequent flyer miles on RIOT options than any other ticker over the past year. I did a fair amount of trading on MARA options too. Dodged several bullets on MARA short puts and never got any shares assigned to me… somehow. But I’ll continue to sit on these shares until (hopefully) it moves up enough for me to find call strikes that I can sell against.

IMO, where the OP was way off base was thinking that there is any such thing as “easy money”. Like several have already said, it works… til it doesn’t.

This thread op is such a prototypical top of the cycle thought process, a couple of paragraphs worth of sentences about a new company to trade; with not one single mention of how the company earns income or what they even do.

It hit a low of $4.14 this month.
