Pretty sure during his term it was at that at some point in Louisiana. I have a receipt from Jan. 3, 2021 I filled up my car at $1.74/gal.

Meh, when you adjust for inflation it ain’t that great. Mostly, having a lot of equities (which most Americans don’t) has allowed you to hedge the worst effects of inflation. Almost everything we need to buy in our lives is 20 to 30% more expensive than what it was 3 years ago.

Lots of stupid in this thread from both sides of the political tracks.
If you are smart financially, you do well regardless of politics. I have not had a bad financial year in 30 years. I generally ignore politics for any financial decisions. Half you idiots mouth off like it affects your well being. You are just a victim if that describes you.
