This is simple supply and demand. For the foreseeable future the demand for capacity is high. NBIS has it and is building to provide more.

Not to mention that a 1GW or 40-50 BILLION dollar expenditure can be fully paid for in less than 12 months in the current environment

Yet another technology that “NotStupid” believes isn’t real, won’t grow, and doesn’t run on NBIS compute…

For example, let’s say Uber’s engineers like using Anthropic’s AI tools for $100. And at $100, it helps Uber’s bottomline. But, it costs Anthropic $400 to power these tools. Something has to give. Either the customer has to pay more, or Anthropic’s needs to get far more efficient. There’s no market equilibrium. We are almost 4 years since ChatGPT launched, none of this has happened. It won’t happen either. That’s why none of these things that you are imagining are going to scale, and in NBIS you are holding shares in the biggest risk of the entire chain, the data center builder.
Anthropic literally posted a profitable quarter this month. If profitability in less than 5 years for a company and an industry that did not exist 5 years ago is your proof positive that 'it will never happen', do not look at the history of the likes of Amazon.
It is amazing we have these hundreds of billions of wasted dollars being spent right now yet corporate earnings are running at borderline record levels.

My YTD is 27% and my 1 YR is 39% largely due to the information you and others on this board have provided.
No need to feed the trolls….they just show up for validation whenever there’s a downturn.

I just enjoy an inkling of a bear case every now and then to remind myself how bad their arguments are.

and the kicker with the current economics is the upward trajectory. The deals today in a lot of cases are double economically the deals just last year. There is no sign that is going to flatline or degress

It’s the accounting tricks of a CapEx cycle.
Company A pays Company B $100 for widgets. Company B books that as $100 immediate revenue. Company A (even though they just spent $100)..only expenses at $20 or less.
That’s why in gigantic CapEx cycles, the beginning of the cycle looks like massive profit bc the accounting’s isn’t booking the Rev/Expense on a 1:1 basis.

I’m going to enjoy watching you lose all your money.
It's hard to understand the mentality of someone like you. There are plenty of threads I read here about certain stocks and I determine they aren't for me. That's fine - I still hope those in them make some money.
You've made your bear case. Got it. Readers can consider it, along with the bull case. That's what this board is for. But you aren't invested here so let it go.

The guy thinks that the end game for AI is going to come when the hyperscalers decide they can't spend more money on a fancy search engine.
He doesn't have a clue as to what the capabilities of AI are and who's going to pay for it. It was even explained to him by several people and he still doesn't get it.

healthy skepticism of the hyperscaler/neocloud ecosystem is warranted, simply because we’ve never seen anything like this before. I have seen quite a bit of irrational confidence right here in this thread.
Nobody knows what the actual endgame will look like. Openly hoping people lose money though is childish and…”YesStupid”

I cannot disagree with that, however, when your premise for AI failing is that the only customer for data centers is the hyperscalers and that AI is just a fancier version of Google search, it's hard to take him seriously.
I think he needs to let AI make his stock picks for him...

Healthy is the operative word. Always want to hear the bear thesis but the discourse the last few days is surely not that - there must be better arguments lol

The end game for AI is niche SAAS replacement and govt military. That’s it.
Eveything else, there isn’t enough money floating around to push higher.
This thread could be sent back to 2021 and instead of “AI”, put solid state batteries or EVs in for them.
I’m sure bengal boy was hyping up QuantumScape, LCID, Rivian, and all the Chinese EVs too,

70% of the customers for Data Centers are two companies. That’s a fact.
Takes like this is why I hope you lose money.
I don’t worship at the “Trust me bro, Stonks only go up” alter. You do.
I truly hope you put all your money into NBIS. Don’t diversify it. Put it all here. Ignore all fundamentals. The money will magically appear out of thin air. Do it

Palantir disagrees.
Most of the world’s top CEOs disagree.
I don’t know where the quality of Nebius’ profitability lands over the next 2-3 years.. but to suggest AI is some niche technology sounds extremely uninformed at best. Intellectually bankrupt, otherwise.

It’s niche bc it can’t be scaled given the expenses it takes to run everything.
If it could be scaled, you’d have already seen it with the LLM chatbots. ChatGPT is the #1 App in the IPhone Store. OpenAI financials=a disaster.
The math will never work here. It’s why companies like Oracle have had their debt downgraded to near junk.
