I just took the FIN 701 test and unlike some of you I have not had a large amount of qualitative questions. I keep running out of time with the calculations. This last one I had 7 problem questions. Two were almost the same just asking for a different bit of info like Year two depreciation or year zero cash flow. Wish better luck to those who have not taken it. On to the MKT 701 test now.

Just took the FIN 701 exam and feel pretty good about it. I had an even split of quantitative and qualitative questions again, though I found the qualitative questions to be more challenging this time. I typically feel the opposite way.
Good luck to everyone! We're nearly done. Just 2 more weeks.

I just finished the FIN701 exam. I feel good about it, but I ended up with a bunch of doozy qualitative questions that kept sending me searching the textbook, as they weren't in the problem sets or the reading guide!
Luck of the draw that I got more short answer questions than quantitative, but I'd rather do calculations that I've practiced and understand well than try to define terms and the like, especially if they are only in the textbook and not his RG, so I maybe skimmed them once!

I'm glad I read this forum because I never received any email regarding graduation from my advisor! I think they are doing a poor job as far as keeping students updated on how to apply for graduation. I emailed my coordinator this morning because if the application is really due October 3rd I only have 2 more days!

Vines must have been grading during the saints game and must have been feeling generous during the victory
because I got a good grade. One to go

I keep running down to the wire on time as well...
I know we just had the third FIN 701 exam, but I just now read that the exam is 60 minutes long, but I thought we only had 40 mins for some reason.

Too soon to discuss next term?
Who else is signed up for FIN 730? Looks like a new professor. I'm wondering if the Cengage version of the book will be required. Anyone have the PDF for this course in the past?

vantix, I'm signed up for FIN 730 next term. We're all going into this one blind with a new professor.

I went ahead and emailed the MBA Director about the degree program checkout. She sent me a link to complete a survey which is then sent to the registrars office. I'll stay on top of it to ensure it takes place and no hiccups take place.

Anybody have any thoughts on pairing MADM 752 and MADM 760?
I'm looking for a reasonable workload. I'm guessing that Meeks runs 760 similarly to 751, but how about Knotts and 752?

I got a similar email a few weeks ago when I asked about it.
The link is a little funky: https://lsusdmm.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0uKamxAGmZGmePP
Here's the body of the email from the program coordinator (without the link, which I put above):
I have not received anything yet from the registrar's office. I talked to the records team on Friday because I wanted to make sure I could submit the graduation application on time (since the deadline is tomorrow), and the graduation packet didn't have an email address to send it to, only the physical building room. I was told that they had not received my degree checkout yet, so they would not be able to process my graduation application or add the fee to the mylsus site. I plan to follow up later today since I still haven't heard anything.
Graduation packets can be found here: https://www.lsus.edu/offices-and-services/records-and-registration/graduation

You are enrolled in all of your final classes. Congrats.
Click on this link to submit a request for a degree check out: Fall Degree Checkout Request
Your degree checkout will be sent to the registrar’s office. During each term I run reports of who is eligible for degree conferral during the week after the last date to drop with a W. I send degree check outs for students and once the registrar’s office processes it, you will receive an email from the registrar’s office with a graduation application and they will add the $50 fee for your diploma processing then if appropriate and give you further directions for your degree conferral. The graduation ceremony is Dec. 17th at 2pm and it is optional but we encourage you to attend if you desire to do so. Your degree will be conferred after the conclusion of the 7 week term.
Watch your mylsus email for this notification. My office does not provide anything further beyond submitting the checkout which will not be done until the reports are run in late September for those completing in fall AP1 and late November for those completing work in AP2. There is also nothing required for you to do until you receive the graduation application from the registrar’s office email which will be sent prior to any deadlines. Further details will be contained in that packet sent from the registrar’s office.
