Woke up this morning to a nice little profit. Doubled my money in 10 days
Meme coins FTW
I bought in on the 20th. Already doubled. Win! Pure gamble of $100, so nothing large riding on this for me.
re: Worst performer in Your portfolio in last 6 months?

XEL is by far my worst performer. It's had a crap 6mo while the rest of my portfolio is up, this one is down.
I've held it for 25+ years and it's time to dump this.

No brainers:
ECON 705 - Shaughnessey
MADM 760 - Meeks
No easy answer:
MKT 701 - I had James and learned a lot. The project was a hot mess, but the content of the course was actually excellent. Not sure if I'd recommend her, but there are many worse professors in the program.

Meeks is one of the best professors in the program. I'd take most complaints about him with a big grain of salt. Highly recommend his classes!

Another happy alumnus here.
The LSUS program has it's warts, but all in all it is a solid program with AACSB accreditation.
I ended up getting a job mid-program which I never would have been in the running for without being mid-MBA. Thanks to this and the low costs, the program paid for itself before I even finished.

Anybody completing their 10 courses in Summer AP1?
just changed my program objective and i will be completing my courses in Summer AP1?
Is there anything we need to do now? or in SP AP2?
Nothing to do now. There are two forms you need to fill out to graduate. One for the registrar and one for the program.
Watch here for the Registrar form:
Registrar Forms
The program's graduation checklist form is on Moodle in the MBA Program section. It's over by the program change request form and called a Degree Checkout Request. Right now only the spring section is up.

I'm not sure it's something worth paying for. I've only used the free version. MKT701 with Dr. James strongly suggested it.
Grammarly is OK. I'd call it a 90% solution, as it's not always right. If you're struggling, it's not a bad tool. If you know how to write, it can get in the way of proper writing. It's not bad for catching certain kinds of common typos.
For MKT701 I used it a lot like Turnitin. Modifications to keep the checker happy vs modifications actually required in the real world.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience or info on MADM 715 and MADM 751, so I'm not much help there.
MADM751 w. Meeks is practically identical to how he runs MADM760. I think Meeks is one of the better teachers, an easy grader, and I wouldn't hesitate to pair this class. However, it is a somewhat writing centric class and a fair number of people last session seemed to think his class was a slog. I would pair this class with no issues.
MADM715 w. Wren isn't that bad of a course, but if you have a hard time with reading a large amount of information, learning the important parts, and getting tested on it, you won't like this class. There's a 10 minute audio/visual presentation (recorded voice embedded in powerpoint slides) as the primary project in the class. There were a large number of complaints in the session I took this class. A lot of this was around the fact that she references material across the internet and there is duplication of data to wade through. I wouldn't pair it.
I think Wren is a lot like Dr. James in that she has extremely high expectations of what MBA caliber work is all about and doesn't cut a lot of slack to those unwilling to step up. I personally didn't mind the information overload, but it's not in a polished and tidy book, so if you're not used to this sort of learning I can see the shock and dismay over this class.
She is a lawyer and her responses and attitude fit the mold. This really rubbed a large number of my fellow students the wrong way. I get it, but if you've worked with legal people before, she's completely cut from the same cloth.
TL:DR - No, you probably don't want to pair MADM715, but if you do make sure it's an easier class without a lot of deliverables.

With that said, much like Meeks, James is up there with the best instructors in the program. The content is useful and can be genuinely applied to modern business. James is super interactive and seems to genuinely care about her students’ success. Just be prepared to put in work well above what is expected in other courses (outside of Meeks, anyhow).
Dr. James' MKT701 course was one of the better courses in terms of actual useful content. Not only that, but she is engaged in the course and was amazingly responsive.
The project "monster" is the only downside with this course. Otherwise it's really not a hard course at all. Even the project isn't particularly difficult. It's just immense.
I think I learned more applicable material from MKT701 than almost any other course except perhaps MADM751 (entrepreneurship). This was one of the best courses in the program in terms of real world useful material, but you'll probably hate it for a few weeks when in the midst of the project!

Looks like the following is available:
Acct 701 - Unkown Teacher
ISDS 702 - Ahmet
Madm 760 - Meeks
This last session there was a lot of angst regarding Dr. Meeks, but I took him for both MADM760 and MADM751 and really enjoyed his classes. Of the three you listed, I think this is the only one that gives you a real chance to enjoy your vacation.

I see the announcement for FIN740 actually recommended ISDS 702 as a good class to take first. I really think the school push this as a preliminary class to be taken as early in the program as possible.
ISDS702 used to be core course. It's a fantastic course, one of my favorites, and a shame they dropped it for ISDS705.

Can’t speak on Meeks for 751, but Gibbs for ISDS 705 is straightforward and manageable to pair with another course.
Meeks' courses are pairable. It's a straight forward course, but it is a MADM, so there's a fair amount of writing involved.
Some people this term don't seem to care for Dr Meeks, but I really liked MADM751. It's one of the better courses I took in the program content wise.

I received a SIE invitation today! As a summer grad, I appreciate the fact Dr. Williams extended this invitation without me having to ask for it. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not, but it's nice to have the option.

Looks like Dr. Williams has sent out Sigma Iota Epsilon invites for Fall AP2 graduates.
I also received a Beta Gamma Sigma invite from Dr. Darrat.
Anyone else on the fence about whether to join one of these at all and if so which one are you leaning toward?
Which Dr. Williams? Looks like Summer grads get to play the beg for an invite game again.
I'm not sure if it's worth joining or not, but this second class citizen thing after they made a big deal of announcing 6 graduation dates per year is getting old!

Does anyone have any feedback on MADM 760 with Meeks? Just got the syllabus and it doesnt seem too bad except for all of the group b.s., which I imagine is a giant pain in the arse? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
This is in general a favorite class and one of the better professors in the program. It's middle of the road to easy on the scale of hardness.
The group work isn't that bad and this is one of the few classes where you can get to know some of your fellow students. I wouldn't let it scare you away.

@DD Congrats!
@VinylTiger this thread is actually on a very active "Money Talk" board on TD. I think a lot of the down votes come from people sick of the thread popping to the top.
Regarding the 500 series classes. Most every class has a review of basic concepts and nothing is particularly difficult.
@nogoodjr I really enjoyed 751 with Meeks. I enjoyed it more than his strategy class, but they are in very similar formats.

I guess the take home from my experience is to ask for an invite if you graduate in a term other than Spring or Fall, otherwise you may be overlooked.
Thanks for doing the legwork in researching this Sactown.
I guess we're 2nd class citizens for graduating in the summer. :banghead:

By any chance has anyone taken the MADM 725 or 752? Need a final elective to take for my last course. Was hoping to take an easy course to finish out. Currently I'm enrolled in Data Analytics 710.
I took MADM752 with Knotts. I found the class a bit boring, but it wasn't hard. All in all it was OK and a fairly typical MADM class.
Mix of some video and chapters to read. Weekly quiz. 500 words or so every week on that week's topic. One major project that was actually pretty darn easy (interview a family business owner).

Also actual lecture videos, not just a powerpoint which lacks the explanations for the pieces which are obviously meant to include additional examples.
This is my biggest criticism of the entire program. Actual lectures would improve everything.
