I took 701 with Knotts and the class was very manageable, the tests were proctored using proctorio. Read the Powerpoints and make notes and you should be fine.

MADM 751 w/ Dr. Meeks - One of my favorite courses and favorite professor. This class focuses on understanding entrepreneurship and your understanding/conceptualization of the material. You work in groups so you are able to connect with other MBA students in the program, which is great. Does take some time for reading the material but I would pair it with a math course you are more comfortable with.

ECON 705 w/ Dr. Shaughnessy - Very difficult course content wise for me. However, Dr. Shaughnessy is awesome and really helps out. He meets on Zoom and answers things in a way that helps you understand. I paired this with MADM 752 and it was a decent pairing.

We had academic coaches in this course so you had to understand what they wanted in the papers to get a decent grade. The tests were pretty difficult if I remember correctly ie. taking information from the reading and asked the question in a way to confuse you.

FIN 701 w/ Dr. Vines - As you have probably read, Dr. Vines is a great professor. The information you learn is difficult if you do not have a finance background. However, if you read the material, can say it in your own words and have a decent grasp of the math, you will do great. Attend his Zoom sessions and ask as many questions as you can think of because he will answer them until you understand. I paired this with MKT 701 which made it a very long 7 weeks.

Took it with Darrat and was an easy A. Find any book from philip kotler on marketing management and you should be fine. That is where his tests were coming from. No project that I remember and tests were not proctored.

MADM 760 w/ Dr. Meeks - Again, Dr. Meeks is a stellar professor. There is a lot of reading and writing but it focuses more on making sure you can conceptualize the material versus being tested on the material in exams. You work with teams which has been a great experience. There is a final paper - about 2000 words. I often did more than this in the weekly writing questions. If you read and put the effort in, you will do fine. He awards extra points if you go above and beyond as well.

A lot of work but very fair grading. One of the best classes in the program. He grades everything personally.

MADM 715 w/ Dr. Wren - My least favorite course in the program. Insane amount of weekly reading - sometimes over 300 pages. There were many grammatical errors in the readings as well. The weekly tests were worth about 700 points of your final grade (out of about 1245) so you really had to put most of your time into reading and trying to guess what you will be tested on. The project fiasco was a total mess in my opinion. We were required to have a conclusion for our research in the 3rd week I believe? We turned in our projects 2 weeks ago and there are many still without a grade. I would not recommend this course because it is an elective - unless you absolutely have to. Many people earned their first C in this course.

I took this class with Felice Williams and was an easy A, my only complain was that the weekly posts were graded by assistants who were very inconsistent. Other than that, not too bad.


All in all I am happy that I went through. Learned a lot and made the honor society and was able to finish in 5 terms. I also recommend the program to friends and family, even with the new textbook policy. This program is by far the best value AACSB MBA program in the country!

Best of luck to all of you starting this journey. There will be some long nights and frustrating moments, but it will be all worth it.

To echo what Jeaux Cool said, congratulations to all who graduated and endured the long hours in order to do so. I will hopefully be there at the end of Spring AP2 as I am taking three classes Spring AP1 and one (ECON 705) in Spring AP2 to finish. As for elective, I am taking MADM 715 for the Human Resources Concentration. Was going to extend my time and take either two Enterprise electives or the two Project Management electives, in the end, I am just dying to finish.

But are these on a given time window for a specific day or can these quizzes be taken from Friday to Sunday for example?

I took MKT 701 with Fin 701 and was definitely doable. I am paiting 760 with ISDS 705 and is also very doable. By doable I mean get As in both classes with some work. I think that MKT 701 depends a lot on the professor as I had Darrat not James.

From my experience on 760 your Summer AP2 can be challenging. Lots of work in 760. Not hard work, just busy work. Depending on who you get for 702 you can be in for some long days...
