Online degrees from both the main Baton Rouge campus and the Shreveport campus are now being marketed together on the main LSU website. Opinions? [link=(https://online.lsu.edu/online-degree-programs/?type=master-degrees)]LSU Online Degree Programs[/link]...
Long time lurker, first-time poster. Has anyone had difficulty transferring in courses? The program I was going to pursue (Ok State, where I live) required leveling courses for Finance and Accounting so I applied to LSUS to avoid taking leveling courses(leveling courses suggested but not r...
It's amazing that this thread is still rocking...I have had my MBA for over 5 years now and I started this thread, just looking for any experiences with the school. Great program, BTW.
I want to personally thank you for starting this thread. I found it in the summer of 2016. I...
If you are looking for a program where you can slide by, the LSUS MBA Program is not the program for you. While LSUS is probably not the most intensive program in the world, it requires significant time, focus, and commitment. Specifically regarding tests, almost every test or quiz I have ...
Which is better LSUS MBA or WGU MBA? Both are online, but I'll save about $4,000 taking the WGU route. They'll both take about the same amount of time.
WGU doesn't have the most respected AACSB accreditation. It also doesn't have the same image and status of the LSU system. I lo...

The President of the University of Texas-Arlington was forced to resign yesterday due to a scandal with the third-party online program manager (OPM) "Academic Partnerships. The reason I wanted to share this on here is that LSUS also uses Academic Partnerships to manage their online program. I'm co...
Personally, my goal is to have the MBA title. Honestly, you can learn absolutely all of the topics by reading The 10-Day MBA book. It'll take you at most 10 days, but then all you have is the knowledge, but nothing that anyone can verify from a cursory glance at your resume. I've owned my own...

Hi Gmoneypdx, You'll be fine without taking the foundation courses. It had been 26 years since I'd earned my B.S. in Business Admin when I started this LSUS MBA program. However, I've been active in business like you have been and had minimal issues getting back up to speed. Past students ...

re: LSUS Online MBA Reviews - socal77
Hi Chelegrity, Most current and former LSUS MBA students I think would agree that the foundation courses are not necessary, even for those without an undergard degree in business. I looked up the cost of the online MBA at Baylor and it's $60,000. LSUS is $12,500. So unless your getting some...
Consider FIN with Kendall - she's an excellent professor. There is a weekly discussion on a provided topic that requires a reply to other students, a couple of tests and some busy work but nothing over the top. ECON with Fawaz is a must - he is also an excellent professor. Fawaz uses Zoom...

re: LSUS Online MBA Reviews - socal77
bkahn, my advice would be to take MADM with Williams first. That was the class I took second in my program and learned a lot in. It's more labor intensive than MADM 760 but I preferred to get the most labor intensive classes out of the way early in the program. Meeks is my favorite professor and ...

Interesting article in WSJ yesterday on full-time MBA programs closing. The comment section at the end of the article is a good read. [link=(https://www.wsj.com/articles/more-universities-shut-down-traditional-m-b-a-programs-as-popularity-wanes-11559727000?mod=rsswn)]Wall Street Journal Article[...

Just my two cents but to me Dr. Meeks was the best professor in the entire program. The group work was fine and repesentative of what the real world is like. I'd actually encourage students to try to take at least one class from him....

I'm curious to hear some of the favorite BUSINESS VISA or MasterCard credit cards for earning rewards (either points, miles or cashback) for business expenses on a daily basis. Right now I'm using the Citi Costco VISA and the Chase Business Preferred VISA. But wonderinng if there may be a good one ...

RoyalWe, I appreciate your post and agree that an MBA earned 20 or more years ago required some serious face-to-face classroom time. I can't argue that the online MBA I earned a couple years ago can match up to yours in depth. The model has changed. I believe that very few on-campus full-time M...
