It's possible that SLI does succeed, finally building these plants, but doesn't reach $12 again as that was a height of the speculative bubble in November '21. My guess is late 2025 is the earliest date they would be able to sell their first ton of lithium. 2H 2023 FID plus 2 years minimum construction time.

I’m gonna speculate that they’ve had another investor come in and that’s what’s driving this volume. Another investor is buying into them. Who knows though.

Where is smackoverhog? He probably knows something.

Saw earlier that there were 3 near-million share buys today

I bought 3k shares on the dip to $4 thinking of some swing trade playing.

I needed this think to dip into the 2s and stay low for a couple of weeks, I sold a bunch for tax reasons and am stuck by wash rule.

They're doing site prep for initial facility. Don't see them spending the money on all that for no reason. Contractors say it's a go.

Sorry about that, I told Mintak that was the best way to peg Gaucho.

There were several very positive comments in the presentation:
The higher concentrations of lithium in the SW Ark project.
The plans to be the first in production in the US with construction starting in 2023.
Mintak mentioned "Nondilutive" ways to cover costs including financing, Defense Production Act Grants and the transferable tax credits in Sections 48C and 45X of the Inflation Reduction Act.
The plans to significantly expand and grow the company through exploration in the Smackover formation, partnerships with other companies such as Energy companies with drilling and reinjection experience and Battery companies.
Mintak mentioned the company is going to grow much larger than just the two projects currently in process. 4:08:20 in the presentation. Mintak going out on a limb here. Call me gullible, but I like the sound of that!

Can someone explain how Standard Lithium's potential success might affect a mineral owner in the Columbia County, AR area? McNeil, more precisely.
As I understand it, no one is planning to directly mine for lithium, so mineral owners will only be paid relatively small royalties for the brine. By the time the lithium is extracted from the brine, the brine is already step(s) removed from the owner of the mineral rights. Is this correct?
Just trying to wrap my head around a mineral investment.

Thanks for sharing this article. I will share anything that I come across on those royalty determinations.
Edit-I misread part of the article.

Two new directors appointed.
Press Release
This is bullish if you’re hoping for some federal grants as I’d think this helps meet the diversity requirements.

What are yall waiting for at this point? Any predictions on gov't grants, timing on the DFS, something obvious that I'm not saying? I'm new to the party, got my first 600 shares the last two days around 3.50 (ha)
