Sounded like news regarding debt financing, offtake agreements, and the federal environmental assessment will be out over the course of this month.

I expect the debt financing and offtake announcements have the potential to be market movers.
They stated the environmental assessment would be completed by the end of the year; FID by early 2026.
This is exactly what they said they were going to have to do to fund the project in that fireside chat.

I’m up 420% on this but my dumb arse only bought 25 shares.
CFO said they expect to finance SWA Phase 1 with $1B in debt, the $225M Dept of Energy grant, milestone payments from Equinor, and that they expect to have to come up with $150M in cash from equity.
There number of analysts asking questions definitely increased on this call.
Joe Lowry said Lithium prices have bottomed and we’re at the beginning of a bull cycle for lithium, but not to expect a straight shot up in lithium price.
I listened to the Global Lithium Podcast with Jesse Edmundson from SLI so y’all don’t have to. Some nuggets were the following:

Jesse explained the pivot away from the Lanxess project was due to the delay in setting the royalty rate and Equinor wanting a larger scale.

Federal/State/Local government are all on board with making Arkansas a hub for lithium innovation. They are actively working on getting companies downstream from lithium production to come to Arkansas.
Schwab returned all of my lent shares yesterday, which seems positive if the shorts are getting out.
Yes I got an email notification. Interest rate is only 2% so there must not be that much demand.
All of my SLI shares were lent out today via Schwab.
Very positive article in the Financial Times today.
I was curious to see how they maintained their cash position over the last three months.

Looks like they’ve still been selling shares ATM. Last quarter they sold 4.6M shares at $1.56 avg price. That’s gotta be putting some downward pressure on the stock price, but it is allowing them to maintain a healthy cash position.
Royalty application submitted and hearing set for May 28 per this morning’s PR.
SLI’s market cap is almost equal to the grant amount. Doesn’t make sense to me.
Koch purchased ~7M more shares bringing their total to around 20.5M shares.
Finalizing the grant is a huge catalyst. If that occurs some time in the next 2 months this thing is over $3
It seems to me that this stock is priced as if they will never receive the money from the DoE conditional grant. If DoE actually moves quickly to approve this prior to Jan 20, I think SLI rockets up.

Sounds like Exxon did present the E&Y report to the AOGC. This article says there should be a decision by noon today.
I don’t see why they don’t just make this simple. Look at that Ernst & Young Lithium royalty study and make the royalty the average. ~2.6%
It popped up on my wife’s instagram feed along with mom influencers, the Kardashians, and Taylor Swift.
