The actual character of LSU is hurting LSU.
Hiring a jackass like Kiffin, a known problem like Wade.
Reaping what they sow

Kentucky also had some calls go against them in that game

No, the officials, via the hand of the league office, are screwing LSU, when possible, because the league doesn’t like that we hired Lane Kiffin and Will Wade. The lawsuit is an extension of that.
LSU’s best course of action is the continued “frick you” to the SEC. Recruits don’t care about brand damage. They care about how much money they’re gonna make.
Build the best rosters you can and run roughshod over the rest of the league.

And what would you suppose we do?
LSU has done no wrong.
LSU has done no wrong.

The data doesn't back up this claim. We're 3rd in the conference in Fewest Penalty Yards and we're around that number in actual penalties per game.

Wouldn't be a problem at all if the team left no doubt. Refs didn't cost us in the Clemson, aTm, or Miss St. games.

Now do the Review percentage.
Our guard play is one of the biggest factors in Sam’s stats.

You say this meaning to suggest it would be better for LSU to admit wrongdoing (without doing anything wrong) and self impose harsh penalties (worse than a bad call here and there)…. all to make you feel better about a ghost-chance of a referee making a bad call ?

ou guys do realize that the lawsuit is costing us In the field with the referees in a close game which most of them are we will be killed and it sux!
SEC refs are independent contractors, not employed by the SEC. These guys work crappy high school games and lower college games for many, many years to get to this level.
They're just doing their best and aren't part of some nefarious scheme to screw LSU.
Grow up.

You do realize that we didn't file the lawsuit?

Exactly. The SEC wanted LSU to fine/suspend Kiffin and Wade because they had no cause to do it themselves.
As far as penalties and officiating go, LSU has been on the wrong side of bad officiating before and it didn't take an SEC lawsuit.
GEAUX TIGERS!

I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure federal RICO charges would apply if the SEC office had a coordinated effort to frick over LSU via officiating in games. I don't think anyone in the SEC office or the refs want that kind of smoke, simply because their panties are in a wad because of the SEC vs LSU legal cases.

one thing I learned in my years as a coach is don't make the mistake of confusing corruption with incompetence
Posted on 10/21/26 at 11:06 am to TigerDavid3527
If anyone with authority or skin in the game thought this, we would no longer be a member of the SEC. This is a step too far.

I think our argument, if successful, could result in Sankey pursuing that option.
No way, if LSU or any school were kicked out of the conference it would be the nail in the coffin of the SEC. It would be killed by constant litigation from LSU against the SEC, ESPN and any other network or organization that has a contract with the SEC. LSU is a major brand ESPN will want to compensated for loss of LSU games. Now let’s talk about money lost from other SEC members who play LSU, because them games will go away.

If so, we will sue the NCAA.

Officiating at every level is universally god awful.
