We never know if Johnson had thrown strikes we wouldn’t have hit a few dingers etc. I realize we still gonna need more offense but just saying….

Excessive walks will always hurt the team that gives them up.

We were on the other side last night.

The plan was clearly to let Cam implode.

He has a very low opponent BA. When he's able to locate, he's hard to square up. We had a good plan to beat him.

What is encouraging is that we scored 7 runs and won a "Friday" SEC game with only 1 hit coming from our core contributors. Everything else was from the "other guys".

It was the baseball gods apologizing to LSU for having to play on that dumbass turf last week.

And don't forget if Evans hadn't gotten so many strikeouts he mightve gotten a few more ground outs

Walks don’t count as at-bats. More interested in what his OBP against is

I'm sure that information is somewhere, but I was responding to a comment specifically about removing walks from the equation.

And I'm very aware of what goes into calculating a batting average.

Well we didn’t have any hits against him. I have a hard time thinking we’d have hit dingers against him.

I believe when Cam Johnson left the game, he had a no-hitter still intact.

I’d cut the funding to WBB and give to baseball.

Well me personally I thought it was pretty nice to actually be the team getting walked 1,456,200 times and seeing the other teams catcher throw it to the ghost at 3rd base and into left field

I think his point is that when a pitcher has good stuff but is wild it’s harder to hit him than if he has the same stuff but is around the zone. You’ll get free passes, wild pitches and more runs, but not as many hits.

I went to a Wally Pontiff Classic over ten years ago. It was at Zephyrs Field against Southern Miss. They went through a ton of pitchers and they were all wild. LSU walked and walked and walked, but when they weren’t walking they were striking out. We beat USM by a lot, but there were not a lot of hits and was boring as hell. Had a fat guy sitting next to me explaining all the action, too.
