LSU-Florida 2009 was one of the worst displays of football in college history. Good god it was painful.

- 13-3 UF won
- Tebow was coming off of a concussion
- Jordan Jefferson was 11/17 for 96 yards and 1 INT
- Florida sacked Jefferson 5 times
- Tebow was 11/16 for 134 yards 1 TD, 1 INT
- LSU 1-9 on 3rd down
- LSU had 9 penalties for 64 yards
- 489 yards of offense for the two teams COMBINED

Student in 1987, LSU loss to Bama 22-10. We were ranked #5 and 7-0-1 going into the game. They were ranked #13. Our DEF, which was VERY good, let Bobby Humphrey run ALL over us. We blew a golden opportunity to win and make it to a NYD bowl for all the marbles. I had to listen to some Bama chick in a bar after the game....

I went to the game at Arkansas in 1992 to watch us finish off a 2-9 season with a 6-30 blowout in 25 degree weather with flurries.

We had these little foot and hand warmers that didnt work.

1. 1/9 without a doubt
2. 2009 Capital One Bowl vs Penn St
3. 2009 Ole Miss

After that, it all runs together:
2005 Tennessee
2007 Arkansas
2009 Florida
2010 @Auburn
2012 @Florida
2012 Peach Bowl against Clemson
2014 Miss St
2016 Florida
2016 Alabama
2017 Troy
2009 and 2012 (especially the victories) were hard years to be a Tiger fan.

Miami 1988- Rained the whole time but my dad wouldn’t let us leave and we got killed.

Notre Dame 1997- freezing cold, icy rain late and I refused to leave and we got killed.

Arkansas 1993- freezing cold, all we had to do is beat them to finally have a chance at a bowl game and instead we let 3 guys run for 100yards and got killed.

2. 2009 Capital One Bowl vs Penn St

Was at that monsoon game. It was cold too and we were so much more talented and so much faster but Les did his normal run run pass and we lost right at the end. The worst field conditions I had ever seen on natural grass. All they needed was some slop and hogs on the field and you would have swore we were in that backwoods of Arkansas.

That 1987 squad was very talented. If I recall that game correctly, there were many players on defense that were out hurt, and it finally came back to haunt us. Bobby Humphrey (sp?) did in fact run all over us. The end of the season showed how good we really could be when healthy as Tommy Hodson and Wendell Davis passed rings around South Carolina's "Black Death" defense and we finished #5 in the nation.

2015 LSU vs Bama at Bryant Denny. Lost national championship chances lost LF7 Heisman and can still hear the “first down, Roll Tide” in my nightmares.

Miami in the hurricane was the most miserable game I have ever attended. Complete rout in a downpour. My underwear was soaking wet when my wife, who never leaves the stadium until after the team prayer on the field, allowed me to get up and leave.

Speed means nothing without traction. There was zero traction on that field, and Penn St was bigger and stronger in the trenches. Les never could beat a team with superior talent and coaching for the conditions. The fact that LSU ever had a chance in that game is a testament to just how great that 2009 defense was.

1. LSU loses to home v Miami of Ohio, 12-21 in 1986. Really the all-time stinker and more than any other game the reason the gold-purple-gold uniform was considered cursed.

2. LSU 7, Baylor 21--Liberty Bowl, 1985. LSU only trailed 7-13 4th quarter yet it seemed much, much worse.

3. LSU 7, Baylor 14--Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl 1963, in freezing weather at Rice Stadium. LSU'S offense that day was as cold as the weather. Tigers led 7-0 early in the 4th, yet everyone could feel a loss coming.

4. LSU 10, UAB 13--2000. Inexcusable, and I actually had doubts about Saban after the game

5. LSU 0, Tulane 14--1973. The worst game ever up to that time.

At that game. Hodson went down the week before vs Ole Miss. Guidry was a capable back-up, but we were not the same team w/o Hodson.

Yea and Hodson made a cameo appearance in the 3rd quarter and threw a pick. The incredible thing about that game was the Tigers actually led 10-6 at the half, yet it felt like Bama just dominated us from start to finish that night. They really did in the 2nd half.

I remember I couldn't sleep that night after the game. It seemed like that season had so much promise, and to watch it all go down the drain...
