Good, hopefully it carries over. Consistency behind the plate would be an asset to the new arms....

re: LSU Baseball ranked 16th in D1Baseball preseason poll - Copernicus
I know Adam's analysis will start in a couple weeks, but how's the depth look? We should have a productive lineup/defense with Smith, Slaughter, Coomes, Jordans, Watson, Duplantis. Reid has been timely when called upon. Cabrera is a big name newcomer. Who else can produce? Is Gilbert Friday ...

re: Is Brumfield Staying? - Copernicus
Then we’d get more development in 18 for 2019. We already need everything to go right from here to compete for the west in 18. If Brumfield leaves too, we’ll be better in 19 for it. ...

re: Is Brumfield Staying? - Copernicus
Being NFL caliber or not hasn’t stopped the wave of bad entry decisions every year. I thought Brumfield had a nice year and could be our best OL next year. ...

re: Something positive: Your favorite LSU football memory - Copernicus
Yes, but 2002 left a stale taste. Mauck injury, 31-0 loss to bama, got smoked @Aub, Miracle on Markham, Texas comfortably wins the Cotton. Highlights were stomping UF and the BG Miracle. UGA 2003 is when it felt like we had arrived to stay for a while. ...

re: Something positive: Your favorite LSU football memory - Copernicus
For games I've been to, 2010 Alabama. What a great day. It felt like both programs could go toe to toe forever at that point. Favorite overall memory is probably '03 UGA Mauck to Green as it signaled LSUs arrival to the college football contenders table. ...

re: Bradley Dale to Aggie - Copernicus
Jimbo recruited top 5 talent at FSU. His downfall was his loyalty to his staff (Charles, Trickett). He will recruit well regardless at A&M. Let him rack up all the good recruiting/subpar on field performance coaches he wants. ...

re: 2018 Football Depth Chart - Copernicus
UGA loses 30+ veterans. They are loaded with talent and youth. It will be a fun one in TS that I wouldn't write off. @Aub will be more difficult. I agree on Bama. They are simply loaded again. ...

re: 2018 is the make or break year for Orgeron: T or F? - Copernicus
8-4 or worse he has to be gone. He got the staff he wants, and the talent is there. If 9-3/8-4 is the bar, why'd we fire Les? ...

I hope you're right. I just didn't see enough this year to make that adjustment yet. Maybe Guice is right and CEH will turn out to be as good as him. ...

re: 2018 Football Depth Chart - Copernicus
I agree, and that's why I think high expectations are warranted. There shouldn't be a "transition period" with Ensminger. The schedule is manageable with how it sets up. They have to create the championship attitude that's been lacking to have a shot, but the talent is there. ...

re: 2018 Football Depth Chart - Copernicus
We have 2 talented QBs competing with an embarrassment of talent at WR. Brossette has been very serviceable in his opportunities besides the Troy fumble. Maybe he, CEH, and Curry's different running styles can provide the perfect storm. They should be familiar with the system E will use, and Ed h...

re: 8-4 or 7-5 might be the best outcome - Copernicus
I hope you're right on UF. I know they have a good QB Mullen picked in this class. If we're lucky it'll take A&M a bit to go spread to pro. Elko seems like a solid DC hire though, and they are committed to winning. ...

re: 8-4 or 7-5 might be the best outcome - Copernicus
Tough schedule, but O has his staff the way he wants it now. It's put up or shut up time. 10-2 should be the minimum. Miami has athletes everywhere but depleted line depth on both sides of the ball. Away from Hard Rock, control the line and don't turn the ball over we should win. It's a great te...
