The 12th ranked Tigers snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory in September of 1970 when A and M hit a long pass late in the game to win, 20-18. The Aggies finished only 2-9 that year.

Also on a cold November night in Fayetteville with a chance of snow, LSU did very little on offense and lost to the Hogs in 2014, I think.

1985 Liberty Bowl

Baylor 21 LSU 7

Only score was 79 yard punt return
9 first downs
8 punts
2 turnovers
192 total yards

It was about 40 degrees but clear.

Perhaps no LSU team was as lethargic and disinterested to play in a postseason contest than the 1985 Tigers, whose very strong 9-1-1 regular season then led to a dud in the Liberty Bowl. Bill Arnsparger’s Tigers had a chance to finish in the top 10 of the national rankings with a victory but instead lost 21-7 to unranked Baylor in front of just 40,186 frigid fans in Memphis.

I was at the 6 or 7 OT loss in college station. That was a shitty walk back to the car.

Bama 1/9/12

I cannot emphasize enough how depressing that game was from start to finish. And I paid a lot of money for myself and my parents to see that debacle in person.

For me it was the 1982 debacle against Tulane. It was especially painful after our epic win over FSU where oranges were raining in Tiger Stadium.

1985 0-20 Loss to Florida--could have played for 4 days and never scored.
1985 Liberty Bowl, 7-21 to Baylor--Damn it was cold.
1988 6-19 to Florida--hot and the team had left their soul in Columbus Ohio the week before.
1988 3-44 Miami--completely different level of suck.
1994 26-30 to Auburn--this game ended up stealing your soul over and over again.

2000 in cold, rainy Little Rock. Lost 14-3

1997 - The week after we stormed the field vs #1 Florida, we lay an egg to Ole Miss

the others were previously listed.

Troy in 2017.

Have been to terrible conference losses but there is nothing like losing to a Troy.

90-94. Last year for Archer and the Curly years
94 Auburn, still can’t believe we kept throwing the ball
93 Florida
96 Alabama, really thought LSU had a chance to win this one. To this day, I still see Shawn Alexander running up and down the field
12 championship game, enough said
15 A&M, even though we won, it kept Miles around one more year

They went 9-1-1 and had to play an unranked team in their bowl game? Sheesh, hard to blame them. What a shitty draw.

Dishonorable mentions
2002 Alabama 31-0
2015 Ole Miss 38-17. Les should’ve been fired after this game.

Good list and sadly I was at all of these. I was convinced for a while I was bad luck on road trips.

1. 1/9/12
2. 2012 Alabama 21-17
3. 2014 Alabama 20-13
4. 2001 Ole Miss 35-24
5. 2009 @ Ole Miss 25-23

honorable mentions
2014 - @ Auburn 41-7
2004 - @ UGA 45-16
Two absolute slaughters
