It’s LSU. The resources are there. Whether you take advantage of them is up to you.

Not to say these coaches aren’t great but football especially, damn near anyone can win a title for LSU. That’s why a competent guy like Kelly definitely SHOULD. If he doesn’t then he’s a sheep in wolf clothing.

Dude you have to be the most ignorant basketball fan on this board.

We replaced, what, 70% of the roster again this year? Our top 3-4 scorers are all transfers that had to get used to running the offense, understanding defensive assignments, understanding their teammates tendencies. Also McMahon had to tinker with rotations etc. It’s pretty ignorant to think a team so talented should win every game they’re “supposed to win” early on in the year. This is basketball. Teams get beat all the time. Nicholls is 9-4 in the Southland Heck, Kentucky blew one to UNCW early in the year. It happens literally all the time, every year.

I’ve been telling every single LSU basketball fan since the KState game, that this team looked different. I also said it was going to take some time.

You are throwing out all kinds of hot takes, hoping one sticks so you can say you were right. You’ve whiffed on almost every projection you’ve made.

He could, but more importantly, he also shouldn't have a 6-6 season, either.

It was a really good win and good week. Needs to show that he can do what the prior coach did. Compete at the top of the league and get in the tournament, every year.

He isn’t there yet.

The bar has been installed firmly. McMahon performs as well or better than Wade, and the bitching will miraculously disappear.

We had a consistent performer in Wade. Although the last two games show promise, we ain't there yet. Hopefully we will be.

It's clearly aimed at the people who called Woodward a failure and a cuck because he fired Will Wade.

It’s someone beating their chest over one basketball win

Despite a great week week he still has an overall losing record at LSU. That's not "pretty good". It's not even good. This week was the first signs of some promise. Everyone who is an LSU fans hopes that continues. But I think it is a bit ridiculous to have some hyperbolic takes after just two wins.

The rest of the schedule is favorable. If he can win several more games the program will enter the offseason with some positive momentum to try to put together a good team for next year.

He's bringing the program back from the dead...that matters.

And he cost A&M millions with Jimbo.

Brilliant.
He is our mole and I love it.

Nobody’s saying don’t be excited for the upsets. But asking a McMahon-led LSU team to make the tournament isn’t much of an ask before running around screaming “Told you he’s a good coach!” in people’s faces.

Wow it’s almost like this egg-laying was to be expected

I have no idea what takes of mine are hot or what projections you’re talking about. You must have me confused for someone else.

Nah man. Beating USCe and Kentucky then laying this turd is pretty consistent

While I’m glad we upset Kentucky, how about we make the tournament once before making a victory lap?

Since this very reasonable post, LSU went 3-4, which included an absolute 20-point arse kicking at home and a home loss to mid-major North Texas in the NIT.

Would you like the blue ribbon or the chocolate chip cookie for your great message board win?

I’d love a cookie

The guys on here who went bonkers over one upset win and trying to shoe-in LSU to the big dance should bake it
