Can this team realistically go to a regional? We got basically 6/7 spots to fill and 2 weekend guys to fill.
This has to be one of the worst troll posts of all time.
At least make it a little more believable and ask if we can get back to Omaha

Sad thing is from his posts and history it doesn’t seem he’s trolling.

National championships are VERY hard to win. We had such a great roster, but still needed some breaks and great plays to win it all
And for you to be in attendance. So you now have one job. Well, two jobs, because BPB is still your side gig.

Oh no. One of the boards biggest idiots thinks I'm a punk and will not talk to me anymore. I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight.

True, but we have to get there first. That's what the BPB for the rest of the season is for

Two players don’t adjust the curve much when you’re talking about overall talent of a team.
Crews and Skenes weren't just "two players" though. They are the most talented hitter and pitcher this program , even with all of its history of great teams and players, has ever had step on the field.

not curious enough to look in any of the threads discussing the team.

what do we know about projected starters outside of travs and white? Who has proven college stats for at least a season? Who we got? I know we have guys in bp who are returning. What about 2 weekend guys filling in right now?
You need to catch up on what CJJ has brought in. He has three Friday quality pitchers in Gage Jump, Thatcher Hurd and Luke Holman. He has the three quality lefties returning - Ack, Coleman and Herring. Plus he has some very good freshmen arms. Plus Christian Little is showing good stuff.
His lineup will be good, but will lack the pop at the top of the lineup that we had last season. We are loaded at catcher, and CJJ picked up a good SS who is developing some pop in his bat. We return a very good outfield with Pearson, Kling and several freshmen studs.
We need to find the right second baseman and the third outfielder, but everything else looks very good.

I think this is a bit rash. All three have high upside and we saw flashes of what Hurd can be, but literally none of them have been a number one on a pitching staff yet.
Remember at this time last year when we had some on here inserting Christian Little into the rotation?
With that said, I'm excited to see what Jump can be. We just have to have patience with pitchers though.

Don’t forget last year we lost Berry and Doughty, and most people hadn’t even heard of Skenes or Tommy Tanks at this point…

You weren't a real baseball fan if you didn't know who Tommy Tanks was by the middle of 2022.

You forgot Neal, who was the starting C before he was injured.
Kling-Jones-Neal are the 3 guys you look to to take huge leap forward.
The pitching staff is better but the offense has holes to fill; that's why those 3 guys are next in line to carry the offense. Or at least that is how it should work .
