Skenes was literally the best pitcher in college before he got to lsu.

By what metric? Skenes is a strikeout pitcher. In 2022 at Air Force he had 96 K. 70 pitchers had more strikeouts than him. Skenes ERA at Air Force was 2.73 before LSU. 40 pitchers had a better ERA.

Hell he was being recruited as a relief pitcher by other SEC schools before he came here.

That doesn’t mean that he isn’t the best pitcher we’ve ever had, and likely the beat college pitcher ever, but to act like he was the best ever before he came here is just revisionist history.

Not even necessarily that. Caglione had a claim to that title even in the preseason.

Dollander was widely considered the best pitcher by a decent margin coming back.

Waldrep was also considered to be a better portal pick up than Skenes.

Dollander, Waldrep and Burns were probably more respected than Skenes before the season started and I know I’m missing someone.

Well seeing as how Cam Johnson is the highest rated HS recruit to ever make it to BR, yea, you should sit down and listen to people who follow the team.
i also said i dint count hs kids coming in until they prove themselves. Nothing wrong with that. So your saying he will start? What position? Or am i stupid for not already knowing that?

Oh ok well if you say so then we have to roll with it. Let's just discount a major part of a season's success by discounting high school kids because you said so. It's not like we haven't had studs as freshmen in the past for us. I award you with the rantard award of the month. It's a tough award to get, but your persistence of rantardation is second to none.

I'd suggest that National Coach of the Year, SEC Coach of the Year, Head Coach of 2023 National Champions, knows a bit more than this clown. He's saying that this year's staff, as a whole, should be better than last year's. He's said Paxton Kling is "the next elite player" for us. Freshman catcher Paul Neal had beat out 2 returning catchers till he got hurt. Those 2 are back after stellar seasons. "Thatcher Hurd was an All American pitcher for us if not for 2 outings". Cam Robertson is one of, if not the top rated players CJJ has ever signed. Gavin Guidry's season, including in Ohama, speaks for itself. Josh Peterson, Mr. Big Hit himself, will start. etc etc etc But as noted, if you've never heard of Robinson, you are in no position to judge the talent on this team. And you are judging, not just inquiring.

Apparently you didn’t even read what you typed. You also said “best pitcher” which I commented on. Maybe you need to sit this one out

He’s a left handed pitcher with a high 90s fastball and a wipeout slider. Will he be a starting pitcher this year? We don’t know maybe maybe not.

Will he pitch big time innings in big time games? Absolutely. He’s the best player to make it to campus. Not just for us. He’s the best player to make it to ANY campus this year.

You said Josh Pearson would get passed up by the younger guys while admitting that you have no idea who the younger guys are.

You also said Paul Skenes was the best pitcher in the country before he got here.

See you say stuff like that and you expect people to treat you like you’re intelligent and that doesn’t mesh well.

My point was that you only mentioned best pitcher.

You're losing the plot here. Be better.
