Little late for this realization, even if it is true, and not just a bunch of regurgitated coach speak. He has been a major disappointment along with several of our supposed 'star' players.
I don't blame them specifically. I believe a coaches job is to put players in positions to be successful. It should be painfully clear to everyone that that hasn't happened in any phase of our team. Just rededicating the team to try harder is one of the most ridiculous ideas possible to make this team perform. They are poorly coaches to succeed and they are not motivated to succeed and they know that what they are told to do isn't going to succeed. They have a bevy of film that tells them that every time they watch it.
Need new players with talent coached by new coaches that recognize talent and can put talent in position to succeed regardless of the opposition. LSU is severely lacking in that and they prove it week after week. We all know what doing the same thing over and over is called....and that is where we are.

I like the fact that the players are showing accountability, but don’t tell us about it, go do it.

Hard to take leadership seriously from the guys who are committing the same mistakes every game.

When things don’t go right, just like all of us, people start to blame one another. Pretty soon Joe figures out Bob has a weakness, and he starts trying to do his job and half of Bobs. That puts Joe out of position, doesn’t make Bob any better, and leaves gaps and holes.

By one player trying to do 2 jobs, we are just creating more holes, more gaps, and more losses. Coaching should have a plan for that (exp: maybe a FB added to offense, 3 high safety defense), but so far we don’t. Hard for a RB to chip a DT and run the ball at the same time!!

Hopefully he asked in the meeting what the snap count was.

The simple answer is that Nuss is not a run threat so defenses will continue to crash every single time. Sloan calls Zone Reads with the wrong personnel. Nuss actually sells the Zone Read but defenses never bite on it.

We see you don’t know anything about football. They watch film. Mistakes are pointed out.

We had to outbid a team to get Sage Ryan back, but purchasing a very good player like Walter Nolan would not have been good for team unity. How’d that work out?

Way to go Brian Kelly

Thoughts???

BK and Davis have convinced the players it's all on them and they're not taking responsibility. This is a talking point, nothing more.

That really is one massive part of it. The offense does not match the players. Instead of adapting based on personnel like Baker had to, Sloan and Kelly decided to run the same offense without the cornerstone of a mobile QB.

Where was Ryan going to transfer? I don’t recall another school being mentioned but tbh I wasn’t really paying attention.

I’m sorry but it’s the coach that has to enforce a standard!. If a player isn’t up to that standard then that coach that’s being paid millions needs to do his fricking job to get that player to perform at the highest level

All you have to do is hear one of you criticize Kelly for running the "zone read option" which they don't.Not saying they shouldn't do it a couple of times a game to keep them honest. And I can point to at least 10 instances in FL game where players WERE put in position to make plays and didn't that would have been the difference in the game and there would be no criticism of Nuss. Not saying Kelly hasn't made mistakes but you can't drop passes. Drop interceptions. Step out of bounds on a 20 yd catch and whiff on catchable balls and say it's all coaching. All of those plays had players in position to make the plays and they didn't. That is a fact. Again not saying Kelly is above criticism for some things but if those plays are made we are having a different conversation today.

He's been a hype beast all year. Talks a big game and then makes crucial errors in big spots. Still undoubtedly our best offensive lineman but what a letdown from where our expectations were

On the offensive line absolutely its the players not executing.

The DBs and DL issues are players not executing but part of that is coaching because they keep putting DBs out there specifically Safeties that cannot or will not make plays. We cannot make Touchdown saving tackles to save our lives.

Why in the hell are we locking in now? Should have locked in at the beginning of the season. While you guys were out partying on Thursday nights I was filling piss balloons and scouring the dark web for personal information on the other teams.
