The TE was pretty good, the DT was reported at weighing close to 300 lbs so I doubt he would have contributed much.

Everyone was confident in the roster long before these two guys ere mentioned as options. The DE is still eligible and will come for depth.

So why are y’all crying so much about this SEC ruling?

It seems to be a reaction to our fans thinking everyone is out to get us. THEY CANT TELL US WHAT TO DO!!!

What does that even mean???? only defensive tackles under 300 can contribute? And even if he was overweight for his position, which obviously he's not, he's 6 foot eight..
I guess Richard Anderson is not going to contribute much either. Hell we might as well get the Chinese bandits back because they're the only ones with the right size to play the defensive line these days.

Who’s crying? We are pointing out the bs collusion that the big ten and SEC pulled only after Lane Kiffin took advantage of a loophole

I don't even know what your point is here..
All of our DTs are around 300lbs. And this guy was a really good college DT.

Beyond this ridiculous thread, we'll be fine without them. I don't think any genuine LSU football fan thinks this truly changes our expectations one way or another.

Never had a rule before yesterday… collusion for sure.

I can't speak for "everyone". But for me, it's the reactionary hasty attempt to pass a rule after the fact that is my issue. It's often an arbitrary pick and choose of where to draw a line. QB who is out of eligibility gains another year based on a weak, BS arguement....not a problem. Guys who went undrafted and did not make an NFL team who likewise had a court order allowing the eligibility ...that's a problem.

Be proactive and make rules to attempt to cover all of the scenarios. Don't just implement rules AFTER THE FACT because of publicity.

Are they?

I think most of the discussion here revolves around outsiders whining about LSU identifying ways to take advantage of rules as they exist.

It's the rant and there's nothing else to bitch about. This is an objectively good thing for cfb but obviously this site is blinded by fandom and bias right now on this topic. I doubt Lane even really cares a whole lot about getting them. Prob just didn't want OM to have them. Wade on the other hand is probably fricked. Basketball would've probably gotten away with it too if Kiffin hadn't kept pushing the limits

They're a bunch of weaksauce bitches who would be outraged if it were Bama, Ole Piss or UGA trying to get NFL players on their team.

Actions speak louder than words

The fact that Lane went after these “mediocre” players is because he sees the team isn’t good enough without them

I've asked the same thing a couple of times. Crickets. I hope this doesn't backfire and cause locker room problems. I thought we were stacked already without all of the drama.

Yep.

And the poster is a little naive. It's well known that LSU has top notch first stringers but depth is an issue.
