The DT was all-SEC. Texas has a football player that was in two NFL camps and the SEC ruled him eligible. Its selective enforcement.
If the SEC didn’t like court rulings they should have deemed Pavia and Chamblis ineligible and threatened the schools. They did not.

I’d guess that Lane will back off of these 2 Ole Miss players as to make that noise go away. But basketball really needs RJ Luis, so I hope WW takes his chances and plays him.

The advantage that Will Wade has with Luis is that baskeball is months away so the entire situation should be clarified by then. The problem of course with the football situation is that LSU plays their first game in 10 days.

The way I see it, Lane is trying to make his team better, and the judgement allowed him to exercise that option.....and now the SEC says NO....this is not a "Lane" situation.

It’s not about the players. I don’t care if we take any or don’t take any. But the NCAA and SEC screwed a whole class of student athletes who they report to care about.
Professional athletes play college sports and play in the SEC all the time. College basketball teams are littered with them. College football teams have often had professionals from other sports on their team. This is not un precedented.
This was a situation the NCAAcaused by the timing of their decision. If Nick Saban was in Alabama and all else was equal… and he wanted those players, the SEC would not lift the finger to stop him.
