Archie played for Ole Miss
I wouldn’t have sent my son to LSU in 93-94 if he was a 5 star QB.
Eli was good but not elite coming out of high school, and Ole Miss hired Peyton’s boy as HC to seal the deal. It was a done deal when they hired Cutcliffe.

Bc Archie Manning went to ole miss and so did his wife and he grew up and ole miss fan, so he raised his kids to be ole miss fans. One thing that all ole miss fans have high dislike of is lsu. It's that simple. They don't like lsu.

Why didn’t Justin Jefferson go to Alabama?
Why doesn’t Shaq’s son go to Kentucky?
Why do you ask stupid questions?

Y'all are making this up. The Mannings are careerists not partisans. If LSU had the best chance for one of them to advance to the NFL he would go to LSU.

LSU-Ole Miss in these days was like LSU-Alabama of late. The hatred was strong.
The LSU-Ole Miss rivalry in the fifties and sixties was a lot less one-sided than the LSU-Bama “rivalry” these days.

That would be 1970. He beat us in 1968 and 1969.

The Manning’s are loyal to a coach in David Cutcliffe more than a school. Both Peyton and Eli played for him in college and both would train with him in the offseason throughout their pro careers. I still think there is a chance Arch ends up wherever he is when it’s all said and done.

So what’s the answer? Seems like an honest question but apparently we’re idiots if we don’t know the answer. I would be interested to know as well.
Would be nice for someone to actually provide insight rather than questioning your fandom or telling you to go watch a film
ETA: I’ve always wondered if Arch would go play for Cutcliffe but I have a hard time seeing him playing for Duke

Clearly they haven't boycotted LSU if they take a visit in the middle of the week to visit with the OC...??

First of all Archie is from Mississippi and played for Ole Miss!
Second LSU beat the crap out of Ole Miss when Archie played for them and LSU fans were less than courteous to him. LOL.
Archie has never liked LSU and I could care less if he did!!
Just a couple of thoughts….
Manning was Mr. Football at Ole Miss, I got that, but Manning has lived in New Orleans since his rookie year with the Saints in 1970.
Secondly, LSU did NOT beat the crap out of Ole Miss while Manning quarterbacked the Rebels. The 1968 game was won by Ole Miss 27-24......a gut-wrenching loss, the 1969 game was again won by the Rebels, 26-23 (the ‘69 Tigers was one of the best teams in LSU history and this was the only loss that season)
The Tigers did destroy Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium in 1970 by a 61-17 score.
Third, the Manning Passing Academy has been held in Louisiana since its inception in 1996…….
THE CITY OF NEW ORLEANS AND THE STATE OF LOUISIANA HAVE BEEN AWFULL GOOD TO THE MANNINGS AND MAYBE IT'S TIME FOR A BIT OF RECIPROCITY.

If Arch ends up at Duke the CFB universe will implode…and I’d love to see it

I don’t know why you people think LSU fandom automatically means Saints fandom and vice-versa.

Why deal w that when you can go to another title contender and be the big guy on campus from day 1?
If he thinks he’s going to a title contender and not have some stiff competition then that teams not really a title contender. Anywhere he goes they will have good qb’s

I've heard that Archie and O have a great relationship, and Arch to LSU has a better chance than Archie's 3 sons combined. That may still be below 50%, but it's above 0%. People forget about Cooper because he wasn't a QB, but the other 2 needed someone to throw it to.
