?? 61-17 is beating the crap out of him. And the fans rained oranges down on him at the end of the game because LSU was going to the Orange Bowl!

And yes being a fan of the Saints and of LSU does not mean reciprocity. Mississippi doesn’t have a professional football team!!

Archie played for Ole Miss

I wouldn’t have sent my son to LSU in 93-94 if he was a 5 star QB.

Eli was good but not elite coming out of high school, and Ole Miss hired Peyton’s boy as HC to seal the deal. It was a done deal when they hired Cutcliffe.

All of this. Cooper is Arch’s dad and played at ole miss. Peyton would have if they wouldn’t have been on probation. Very much an old school Ole Miss family with deep hatred for LSU, much like LSU fans of that ilk still detest Ole Miss. I won’t pretend to know where Arch is leaning but I can safely say if he was legitimately considering LSU he would face a lot of pressure from his family.

Have a feeling Arch ends up at Texas if they turn things around.

He’ll be at Texas even if they don’t.

The only time LSU "beat the crap out of Ole Miss when Archie played", was his last year, when he tried to play with a broken arm. He beat LSU in his first 2 years, including ruining LSU's undefeated season in 1969, and possible National Championship.

Correct, it was Eli they beat three out of for four years. And not by a great deal either.

If they are smart they will not let him come to Austin. Austin is not a safe environment now. They have defunded the police and idiots are running Austin. The homeless have taken over here. People are leaving Austin daily and moving to Round Rock, Georgetown or even San Antonio to live but drive to Austin to work but leave each day.

From what I've read and also heard, Arch has been attending all of the LSU home games with Cooper since he was a young boy and grew up an LSU fan. Not to mention that he also wears LSU gear to school every day. Plus a lot of his teammates and close friends have committed to play for LSU.

Meanwhile, I heard nothing but good about their visit to LSU two days ago. As Arch and Cooper spent a ton of time with Jake Peetz and met with the other coaches and then on their way out, they made it a point to go to Ed O's office to urge Ed O not to lose Jake Peetz under any circumstances. Not to mention that Ed O has maintained an excellent relationship with the Manning family for decades.

Moreover, I don't think Dandy Don knows anything and is just going by past history. A lot of people going by past history believe that same garbage.

Nonetheless, Cooper, the Uncles, and Archie have all said the decision is Arch's decision alone to make.

Finally, LSU is in close proximity to the family home Arch grew up in and it's a short enough distance for both Cooper and Archie to jump into a car and drive down to Baton Rouge anytime they want to watch Arch practice.

In my opinion, no other school has a better chance more than LSU to land Arch.

Yeah right. Texas has far too much to prove and not nearly enough time to prove it. No way is Arch going to Texas. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Old Miss people hate LSU. I've been around many of em over the years. It's as strong a hatred as you'll ever see.

Texas has WAY MORE opportunities in the oil and energy business than does Louisiana for Cooper.

Let them boycott, it may be pronounced but they are not profound!!

Don’t lend credence to their attention seeking and posturing!

Second LSU beat the crap out of Ole Miss when Archie played for them and LSU fans were less than courteous to him. LOL.

Archie has gone on record to praise the LSU defense for not exploiting his injury and being very careful when they hit him. He claimed when he got sacked sometimes it felt like the defenders would just lay him down on the field.

This is the right answer. If he’s not at LSU we want him out of the SEC

The way I remember it was A Manning did not want Peyton to compete with Josh Booty at LSU. Peyton wanted to go to LSU. But Archie insisted and Peyton went to Tenn. Then Booty chose to go pro baseball. In 1999 Eli also wanted to go to LSU, but guess who decided to quit baseball and go to LSU to play football>.....Booty. And again the Manning family vetoed Eli going up against the same person they vetoed Peyton going to LSU.
