LSU as a football program historically is probably ranked somewhere around 10 or 11. Alabama is without question 1, Florida just ahead of LSU. Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, probably just behind LSU in the 13-16 range.

Since Nick Saban, took over in 2007 the following has occurred
LSU has won a national title in 2007, played for one in 2011
Auburn won a national title in 2010, played for one in 2013
Florida won a national title in 2008
Georgia played for one in 2017
Tennessee has done nothing

I get it. Nick could be doing this at LSU. He is using LA players. It sucks, but all of the other blue blood sec programs have done the same or worse as LSU, since Nick Saban arrived. Its not just a problem for us, its a problem for the league.

Nobody thought this team would win a title. We lost our QB, RB, and all of our WRs. 10-2 will be a great season and a big step in the right direction

Because Alabama is the best team in the fricking country and to be the best, you have to beat the best.

This isn't complicated.

They are the standard.

They are the measuring stick.

That’s the way it is.

In addition, they are in the SECW so if we can not beat them, we will NEVER win the division or even reach Atlanta again.

Christ...is this the new talking point now...why are we even concerned with beating BAMA?

They also have the least humble/most arrogant and in your face fan base on earth. They're the greatest and their shite for brains fans love it and want you to know about it. It's insufferable. I go to every LSU Alabama game. And one day we are going to beat them in Baton Rouge and in Tuscaloosa. And God Dammit I am going to be there to bask in that moment while remembering the years of suffering they have caused our school .

Yes. I'm salty about it.

Alabama is the measuring stick. Alabama is king so when you play them you get a good idea of exactly how close you truly are to playing for and winning a championship.

We're nowhere near close and it appears that our offense is going in the wrong direction.

Because if we don't beat them, we can't win a title.

Because I’m tired of being a distant SEC west also ran a month before the regular season is over

This program has won SEC titles, and has had great opportunities to be in the driver seat despite Saban in the division in the past. There’s really no excuse for this program to lose to anyone 8 straight times in my eyes.

Alabama is our measuring stick. The fact that LSU did not score any points is more concerning than the loss.

Right. Even if you only lose to them they aren't going to drop 2 so you'd lose on the tie breaker every time

It’s not that. It’s that we’ve been shutout by Bama for the past 8 Quarters of play in Death Valley. We haven’t scored a TD at home against them in 11 quarters.

Arkansas put up 31 on them. THIS YEAR.

Do you think Arkansas has more talent on offense than we do?

Are you starting to see the problem?

Because LSU has to beat them to win the SEC and make the playoffs? Seems pretty fricking obvious to me.

You answered your own question.

Also, you conveniently left out that bama cost lsu that 2011 champ after lsu beat them.
