Why do people equate criticizing JD with “Blaming him entirely” for the loss?

I don’t think I have read or heard anyone say JD was THE reason LSU lost. There is plenty of blame go around and pretty much everyone acknowledges that.

But the fact is JD is a fifth year starting QB who has shown only minimum improvement and development over all those years. He is definitely not a BAD quarterback by any means. But the fact is now he is a just a slightly above average D1 quarterback, and you can win a lot of games with his skill set, but he will not elevate a team to championship caliber.

85% of the tards don’t know enough football to suggest anything other than a quarterback change. In that case they aren’t worth listening to.

Ultimately it is on Kelly. JD is not a QB. JD is an athlete that plays QB. Kelly is stubborn.

Brother, the QB pay was good enough to win on Sunday. Defensively, you were atrocious. You won't win any titles with defense that cannot get a single stop in a whole half of football. Not one.

That just isn't true. He is part of the problem but clearly we got issues elsewhere first.

1 total TD from the quarterback is never “good enough to win”.

It's just a straw man argument to try and protect JD. The problem isn't JD. The problem is the OC and HC are trying to call a passing game with a QB that can't pass. If you can't air the ball out, then you have to resort to more misdirection and play small ball. JD has a mental block and is who he is. We can either coach and call plays that cater to his problem, or we can continue to do long developing plays only to have him bust them with the check down or running.

QB scramble isn't an offense. It works at first, but once teams start scheming for it, it's over. JD would be a great triple option qb. I don't expect the coaching to change, so we'll just get what we get for now.

Whatever dude. Your defense didn't get a single stop in an entire half of football. Nuss nor Jayden had a thing to do with that.

I just don't understand people saying Nuss would've fixed the issues on Sunday. Does Nuss play corner? You lost that game because you did not get a single stop in an ENTIRE HALF OF FOOTBALL! Not 1.

It is not his fault, he did not give up touchdowns. But, frankly, his is not the best QB on the team and it is hard to watch knowing something is better on the bench. Nuss should be the QB for this team, he is far more dynamic than JD.

Nuss lite up Georgia and took them by surprise. Then they started getting after him in the late 3rd quarter. Nuss started moving and around and still lit their asses up. Nuss is the better QB today and has more upside than JD.

You kidding me right? He stares down his 1st read and has no 2nd or 3rd read.

Go back and look at the INT he threw.....people sitting in nosebleeds could see where he was gonna throw. Horrible play.

He can only play in spread offense, but when things get tight his first instinct is to clamp down and try to run.

The offense was held scoreless for the first 29 minutes of that same half.

That may be true, but if you don't figure things out defensively, it won't matter who the QB is. Look at the UGA game last season. Nuss was slingin it and it didn't ultimately matter because Georgia scored at will on your defense.
